Which option is better, IT in IET DAVV or EI in SGSITS?

Which is better, VIT Pune electronics or VIIT CS?
According to The Week, both VIT Pune and VIIT are ranked 15th and 100th for engineering. But both have their pros and cons.
Admission:
VIT Pune-
- After qualifying the minimum eligibility criteria, on the basis of national and state-level entrance exam (JEE mains and MHT CET), students can take admission for the electrical engineering.
- In 2019 the cutoff for Electronics Engineering was 3602 (JEE Main) and 129 (MHT CET).
- The first-year course fee for BTech Electronics Engineering at VIT Pune is 1.79 lakhs.
VIIT- VIIT offers a BE program for CS.
- It accepts JEE Mains and MHT CET scores for admission. In 2019 the required cutoff for CS was 2648 (JEE Main) and 135 (MHT CET).
- The first-year course fee is 1.64 lakhs.
Infrastructure:
VIT-
There are three fully functional laboratories devoted to the electronic courses. These laboratories are highly advanced with upgrade technologies. A central as well as a departmental library are also present, filled with thousands of books and journals.
VIIT-
VIIT also offers good infrastructure. The campus is fully air-conditioned. The laboratories for CS are well-equipped to carry out academic and research works.
Teaching faculty:
VIT-
They have 70+ professors just in B.Tech whereas, for the electronics department, more than 13 professors are available all the time.
VIIT-
Along with the department professors, there are many guest faculties who visit the campus regularly. The faculties are experienced and well-qualified.
Placement:
VIT:
- The average CTC of the electronics department is 4.5 lacs.
- More than 100 companies visit college every year including Titan Engineering Company Pvt Ltd, Vedula Engineering Pvt Ltd, Havells India Ltd, etc.
- The highest, as well as the Lowest package of Electronics, are 48 lacs and 4.71 lacs respectively.
VIIT:
- According to the previous year's data, 84% of the CS students got good jobs in multinational companies.
- Companies like IBM, Wipro, Oracle, TCS are some famous brands coming over here.
- 46 lacs per year was the maximum package given in the CSE department.
As the courses are different it is difficult to decide which will be the better option. You should choose the course you are more interested in.
Which should I choose and why? IIT Bhubaneswar (5 year dual degree in mech.eng.) or BITS Pilani,Pilani for electronics and instrumentation?
I would say choosing 5 years dual degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar is a better option than BITS Pilani for electronics and instrumentation.
- IIT Bhubaneswar is known for its academic standards and it is a government-run institution whereas BITS Pilani is a privately run institution.
- IIt Bhubaneswar offers great opportunities for the student to excel in both academic and research work with their extensive academic curriculums.
- The placement records for the department were excellent in 2023 with 82% of the students being placed and having a median package of INR 12 LPA.
- Some of the top recruiters were Google, Amazon, Microsoft and more
Is an ENI in BITS Goa good, and is it better than NIT Surathkal's EEE?
ENI stands for Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering while EEE is Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Having known some people studying at both these institutions, I can say that BITS Goa is better than NIT Surathkal.
- In terms of infrastructure, BITS Goa is obviously better than NIT Surathkal.
- Better companies visit BITS Goa campus than NIT Surathkal.
- The course curriculum and the quality of academic projects are also better at BITS Goa.
- The faculty at BITS Goa is also top-notch.
- In between the two branches, both are almost the same barring a few subjects (3 subjects to be precise).
- The course load, placements, and projects all are similar between the two.
- As these are core branches, getting placed in the core companies is going to be difficult at either of the institutes.

Finally, I would say that ENI at BITS Goa is very good and actually might be a little better than EEE at NIT Surathkal.

The average package of the IIT BHU for the electronics department ranged between 10-58 LPA. While the highest package offered in IIT BHU was 1.04 LPA. I am a student of M.Tech VLSI Design at IIT Roorkee. Here are the placement details for each of these colleges in this domain-

Which would be a better choice, instrumentation in BITS Goa campus or instrumentation at NIT Trichy?
There is nothing called instrumentation engineering. The students usually study the syllabus of the electronic branch that includes learning low-level languages along with the complete command of them.
- There is a very high demand for highly skilled engineers who know the top programming languages like TopCoder, GitHub, and many more.
- Learning these languages totally depends upon the person that they can do without going to college.
- Becoming an electronics engineer totally depends upon the person, and their effort, not the college.
- Some of the students follow the GATE syllabus to enter into the government sectors.
- Some get recruitment in top private companies by learning these programming languages. The college can help you out only by giving a proper study environment that can promote your overall development.
If you wish to join the private sector, then only the placement facility provided by the college is useful to you.

Last but not least we can say that the college for the instrumentation branch is the version of the electronics branch of engineering. It totally depends on you how much effort you are putting into the same and not depend on the college.
Which is better, electronics at VESIT or electronics at the Vidyalankar Institute of Technology?
If in case, you want to focus on your GPAs, then Vidyalankar Institute of Technology can be a good choice because you will have all the required study materials. Some of them include GQs, EQs, and others. Mainly, the professors go around to encourage you in scoring particularly well in your semesters.
There is another factor you need to understand. If you are planning to go for acquiring a good knowledge base, then you will also have access to certain topics such as Stack Overflow, Instructables, Hackster, arXiv.org, Ieee Xplore, and several others.
You might not receive the knowledge base in either of the institutes, but you can still have a slight edge at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology if you go for a good GPA.
Besides, the faculty is supportive and more importantly, encouraging. The labs are well maintained and particularly well equipped as well.
What should I join? Electronics and Instrumentation at BITS Pilani or Electronics and Communication at MNNIT Allahabad?
Electronics and Instrumentation at BITS Pilani and Electronics and Communication at MNNIT Allahabad both are good choices. Also, BITS Pilani and MNNIT are reputed institutes. So, you should choose either of these two options based on your interest.
I have few friends at BITS, s I can give you some idea about their ENI branch.
- ENI course offered by BITS Pilani is great in terms of academics and pay package. ENI is derived from EEE courses with only 3 - 4 courses being different from EEE.
- BITS also offers extensive lab facilities for their EEE branch due to CEERI.
- According to the recent placement highlights, the average and highest CTC offered at BITS is 15.96 LPA and 9.7 LPA. At MNNIT the average and highest CTC are 10 LPA and 49 LPA respectively.
