Both MAKAUT and Haldia Institute of Technology are decent engineering colleges and choosing one between the two is a matter of personal preference. In general placement of HIT is better than M. A. K. U. T. The choice also depends on the branch you are getting. If you are inclined towards CS or IT then MAKAUT is a better option but if you want to opt for a core branch then choose colleges like IEM, Heritage, and Techno India Salt Lake. Haldia should be your last preference.
The only way you can fail the MAKAUT practical exam is if you fail to appear on the exam. Some MAKAUT colleges have strict policies regarding practicals prohibiting students from even taking their mobile phones inside the laboratory. You will not be allowed to talk to your mates during the practicals. Such colleges having strict rules might even fail the students who are not able to do the practical alone and perform poorly.
However, in most cases, it's almost impossible to fail the MAKAUT practical exam unless you have a strong reason to do so.
