The placement scenario at SCMHRD for finance is pretty decent.
It depends on which NMIMS you’re talking about. If you’re talking about NMIMS Mumbai. Then I would choose NMIMS.
Location: Between NMIMS & SCMHRD, Mumbai is one the best location to do an MBA as a large and good pool of companies will come to the campus.
Brand name- NMIMS has a better reputation and brand value then compared to SCMHRD. NMIMS stands proud as a Deemed-to-be University offering multiple disciplines across multiple campuses. What started as an institute in a small building has caught the attention of the world, thanks to its 17 specialized schools
Placements - NMIMS Mumbai average package offered to MBA Core and MBA HR students stood at INR 23.07 LPA and INR 19.40 LPA, respectively.
I believe SCMHRD is an amazing college for all managerial fields.
The HR stream is the most popular because it began with an emphasis on Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, drawing on the experiences of seasoned managers in and around Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik.
SCMHRD has been working to improve its resources and infrastructure since its beginnings. Placements have also improved. The faculty and the institution's reach have likewise grown steadily during the last decade.
As a result, admission to SCMHRD will be ideal for an MBA (Marketing) candidate. If you have the opportunity, please join.
Someone I know who is an alumnus of SCMHRD has said that finding out which college is better will bear little to no fruits.
You can get in touch with the professionals from both programs and try to understand what you will have to do in order to make a name for yourself. An internal analysis is involved after which it is gauged what field would be the most suitable for you.
NMIMS is popular for producing marketing professionals. Finance is also popular in the institute. Analytics is not the flagship course of SCMHRD. They are very different courses and your temperament and aptitude are also contributing factors.

Doing an MBA from top IIMs and XLRI have its advantages. These are the best management schools in the country and offer excellent career opportunities and exposure. But it doesn’t necessarily mean pursuing an MBA from JBIMS will not be worth the investment. It ranks right after IIM ABC, XLRI, and FMS. It has maintained a stellar placement record over the years. JBIMS placements 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 27.63 LPA. The return on investment is great.
SCMHRD isn’t as reputed as JBIMS. But it is also a good B-School with decent placement record. The average CTC for SCMHRD is around INR 16 LPA.
Usually, the application number varies every year, hence it would not be precise to pinpoint one particular number. The answer can be divided into two main parts: Curriculum and Placements.
In terms of Curriculum, TISS is rated as having the best. Colleges whose core degree is not HR will be at a disadvantage when it comes to curriculum.
In terms of Placements, XLRI is ranked as having the best package and profile offerings, followed by a tie between TISS and SCMHRD. The colleges whose core is not HR will not offer as good a package post-MBA as compared to the colleges with core HR competencies.
In terms of packages offered, XLRI can be ranked the highest, followed by SCMHRD and TISS in a tie, and then MDI, SIBM, and XIMB.
Out of all these colleges, IMI Delhi seems to be the best option for a person looking to major in finance. IMT Ghaziabad has been known for its marketing for a long time and SCMHRD, as the name suggests, is an amazing institution for HR. XIMB is also a decent option for finance but IMI seems to edge it out due to the following reasons-
In my opinion, the best option among the given colleges is SCMHRD’s finance. I am not saying this on my own, but the data reflects the results. Let’s check the final placements for each college in the finance area.
The average package offered in the finance area at IMI Delhi is 17.64 lac per annum for the last batch. For IMT Ghaziabad, this figure is 14 LPA.
