Which college is better for a B.Com (honours) Gargi college, Indraprastha College for women or Daulat Ram College?
One of my friends studied Commerce at Daulat Ram and it had a fantastic faculty. Here are some things that she considered made it better than the other two.
- The professors were dedicated and committed to their classes. They were highly experienced as well.
- The college recently had many positive improvements making it one of the most trendiest colleges.
- It is at the North Campus which was an advantage in itself.
- Culturally, Daulat Ram College (DRC) encouraged students to take part in fests, societies, clubs and even go for inter-collegiate competitions.
- Manjari is the most important college fest of DRC.
Indraprastha College is overall a beautiful college with very high education standards. But being a bit isolated from the North Campus, students tend to miss the city life.
Gargi more or less provides a similar atmosphere like DRC. Therefore, it is suggested that you opt for DRC or Gargi followed by Indraprastha College.

Among the colleges, Ramanujan College is best. It has a great campus. The infrastructure is quite good too. There are smart classes with ACs. The atmosphere at the campus is good for academics. It is one of the top-ranked colleges in India. In 2021, it was ranked 43 for commerce by Outlook 2021. The faculty base of the institute is good too. The campus is surrounded by many food joints, cafes, bars, lounges.
Which one is better for a B.Com hons the Hansraj College or the Banaras Hindu University?
Hansraj College will be a better option for pursuing B.Com Hons. It has a better Commerce faculty. It is one of the top colleges on the DU North campus and offers great extracurricular. Reputed companies such as EY, Oyo, Deloitte, D.E. Shaw, etc. visit the campus placements. The average CTC received by the B.Com students is around INR 8-9 LPA.
What is the criteria to get admission in Mount Carmel College Bangalore for B.Com.?
One of my friends studied at Mount Carmel College. According to her, to get admission in B.Com, it is mandatory for the candidate to satisfy the eligibility criteria.
- The admissions are based on the merit list which is released by Mount Carmel College.
- The merit list and cut-off marks vary from course to course.
- You can apply for admissions by filling the application form. Check the eligibility norms prior to it.
- The cut-off and merit list will be generated by the official authority. It will be based on the 12th marks.
- Final admissions will be based on the merit list.
Those who clear the released cutoff marks will get admissions. After the admission procedure, the documents provided by the candidate are verified, thus concluding the process.
How is the B.Com Hons in Loyola College?
B.Com at Loyola College requires you to pass 4 papers to get a degree or professional qualification and is embedded with the ACCA UK. The college is renowned and has attained good fame in and around the regions of Chennai.
This might give a good impression but the reality is something else, college is not as good as you think it could be. The reasons are as follows:
- The fees of Loyola College are high.
- There are no rules and regulations followed by the department of B.Com.
- Few faculties can be strict and pressurize you in terms of score and attendance.
- You will receive a lot of stress from the department as it gives more assignments, presentations, and tests than the amount already set by the college.
- The medical leave is hardly granted to anyone despite submitting all the genuine and related medical documents. It occurs only in the LIAC department.
- For a 15-day internship, which is conducted after every semester, you will be asked to report the daily work in the department.
- After the completion of the internship, a 50 pages report is also required by the department, without any mistakes. If you fail, then you have to do your internship again.
Don’t even think of doing any course like CPA, CA, or CMA along with the college. There would be no time available for you as the department requires you to be available on campus.
I am pursuing CA Should I do B.Com P or B.Com H from DU SOL?
You should not seek a B. Com course from DU SOL neither Program nor honors. As a CA candidate, you should get enrolled in a B.com program from IGNOU. In comparison to DU SOL, it will provide you with a higher level of education with good faculty members and facilities for a B.Com program.
The biggest advantage would be that you only have to attempt 4 or 5 tests during the entirety of your course. According to the terms and conditions of the MOU and your CA Results, you will be excused from another subject based on certain conditions. One of my friends graduated from DU SOL with a B.Com degree, which, according to him, adds no value to his profession as a CA aspirant.
Furthermore, if you enroll in DU SOL to pursue a program in B.Com, you will be required to visit examination centers that you have never heard of in the city of Delhi. I insist that you consider ideas and suggestions from CA pursuant who have pursued or are pursuing a B.Com program from DU SOL and are members of the CA Fraternity.
How do I change my subject in IGNOU? I enrolled in BCA in IGNOU and want to change my subject to BCom or BA history.
If you are willing you change your program keep the following points in mind:

Change of programme from B.A. to B.Com/BTS/BSW or vice-versa or B.com to B.A./BTS/BSW or vice-versa or B.sc to B.A./B.Com/BTS/BSW is permitted only in the first year of study within 30 days from the receipt of the first set of course material.

Change of Programme from B.A./B.Com to BTS/BSW, the student will be required to pay the difference of fee in addition to Rs.500/-

No change is permitted from B.A./B.Com/BTS/BSW to B.sc.

Change of programme in Master’s Degree (MEG/MHD/MPS/MAH/MPA/MSO/MEC/ MARD/M.Com./ MAPY/MAPC) is permitted only in the first year of study within 30 days from the receipt of the first set of course material.
You will have to pay the full fees for the new program you are enrolling in. Also, forgo the fees lid for the previous program. The request for a change of program has to be addressed to the regional director of the respective centre.
How does it feel to do both B.Com with ACCA in St Joseph College Bangalore?
One of my friends studied at St. Joseph College Bangalore. According to him, it is a very green and safe campus. Here are some facts about it:
- Classes start here at 6:30 AM, this gives time to do internships later in the day.
- St, Joseph Bangalore is a bit expensive compared to other courses but the global exposure offered is beneficial for your career.
- The placements are conducted at the end of the year and various companies recruit students from this campus.
- Admission process starts with a written aptitude test followed by an interview.
- The hostels in St. Joseph’s College are affordable compared to others. They do not provide food as there are almost 10 food joints around the campus.
- The faculty is highly experienced. Most of them are visiting faculty.
This course gives students a global aspect of accounting. It includes various fields of the business like entrepreneurship and finance specialization. The exam structure is divided equally between end-semester papers, CIAs, and mid-semester papers. Cultural fests and Inter-College competitions are also conducted which provides enough exposure.
Which university is good for BCom (H): Amity University, Noida campus or Galgotias University? Why?
Amity University, Noida is better for a B.Com (Hons). It offers better infrastructure, student crowd, and facilities to students. It also has an amazing faculty pool. Around 75% of students from B.Com get placed each year. Major recruiters are Deloitte, Amazon, Google. Amity University B.Com (Hons) fees are INR 6.69 lakhs. If you can afford the high course fee, you can choose Amity.
