- large campus, diverse student body, good infrastructure
- admission via SRMJEEE or JEE Main score
- fees ~Rs.3-4L/year — on the higher side
Chandigarh University (Mohali):
- India's fastest-growing private university, strong in placements numerically but slightly inflated self-reported numbers

Chandigarh University genuinely focuses on skilling and coding boot camps that help placement numbers. if you want a software career in North India, Chandigarh University is fine. if you want better brand recognition or are aiming for MS abroad after BTech, SRM Main Campus has a slight edge. neither is a tier-1 college but both are among the better private options in India.

Personally, I feel, Chandigarh University is a much better university as it has been making huge contributions in the field of education. The university has rigorous procedures for the recruitment of the faculty and only the best are given positions here. The course, the pedagogy, and the timetable is updated frequently to meet the recent standards. The students are evaluated constantly based on their grades and classroom performance and any shortcomings are taken care of both on the part of the students as well as faculty.
