How beneficial is the distance PGDM-Executive from IMT Ghaziabad? I have 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

PGDM from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad (2017)

IMT Ghaziabad is definitely a good choice for MBA. Many reputed companies visit the campus. But since you didn’t mention your career goal after completing the course, it’s difficult to say whether it will be suitable for you or not.

If you want to pursue an executive MBA to change your stream then ISB Hyderabad will be better.

Also, you should consider a part-time MBA instead of a distance one. There are many reputed Management colleges like IITs, FMS Delhi conducts part-time MBA courses during weekends or evenings. In distance programs especially in courses like MBA, it gets difficult because the students are unable to go through the practical knowledge which comes from interacting directly with the industries. Google and search colleges that are near your location.

What is the difference between the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM C) and the Post Graduate Programme in Management for executives (PGPX)?

I did not get what you want to know and compare exactly but assuming that you want to compare the MBA or the flagship program offered by IIM C and the PGPX course, as one is a college and the other is a course.

The top Indian business school IIM C offers a two-year full-time MBA program. The program is for recent graduates or those with five years of work experience. The curriculum teaches management and business practices. While PGPX is a one-year full-time program for executives with at least five years of experience. The program trains experienced managers to lead their companies. The customizable curriculum is targeted at experienced executives.

In conclusion, the flagship program (MBA) of IIM C and PGPX offer management education, but their audiences, duration, and focus differ. PGPX is for experienced executives, while IIM C is for recent grads with little or no work experience.

How is the placement for executive PGDM from Alliance University?

IB
Indrajit Basak Posted On : April 8th, 2021
MCA from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore (2019)

The placements are very poor for PGDM at Alliance University and one should do proper research and get some reviews before taking up this course. You should consider your benefits for the long term also.

Categories

Executive PGDM from Alliance University

Course Fee

2.45 lakhs

Course Duration

16 months

Work Experience Required

24 months

Average CTC

7.6 LPA

Recruiting Companies

Aditya Birla, Amazon, Bosch, Bridgestone, E&Y, IBM, KPMG, etc.

Following are the reasons to avoid getting into Alliance University:

  • The faculty of this university for this course is very poor and doesn't offer proper support to its students.
  • The course curriculum is not that great and is very outdated when compared to other popular colleges offering the same course.
  • Doing this course from this university won't help you much as many companies don't acknowledge or appreciate it.
  • Companies don't treat the employees as nicely, so if you're planning to do PGDM, try doing it from any other top universities where you will get much respect and recognition which you truly deserve.

During admissions, they will surely promise great placements in top companies and will tell you a lot of good things about their college and environment, but they will be just fooling you around.
