Which is better out of GMCH Chandigarh, AIIMS Jodhpur and ABVIMS Delhi considering all factors? What are the pros and cons?
Among the 3 aforementioned institutes, ABVIMS Delhi seems to be the best choice in my opinion. A few benefits of joining this college are
- The best part is the PG quota and many students come here for the same reason.
- ABVIMS Delhi offers an altogether different vibe unlike those colleges reeking of rich heritage.
- The college has a state-of-the-art infrastructure but believes in old-school teaching methodology.
- There are interesting on-campus discussions that make the campus lively.
- The college also enjoys the locational advantage of being located in the capital of India and has many places to explore outside the campus like Talkatora Garden and Sports Complexes, Connaught Place, Patel Chowk, Karol Bagh, Raisina Hills, and much more.
Which is better: VMMC vs AIIMS Jodhpur?
VMMC Delhi is better than AIIMS Jodhpur. It offers better research opportunities and networking opportunities. It also ranks higher than AIIMS Jodhpur. NIRF 2021 ranked VMMC 18 for Medical. It also has a 50% internal PG reservation.
Located in the nation's capital, VMMC offers better networking opportunities. Compared to Jodhpur, Delhi will offer a better college experience.
How is the hostel life at AIIMS Jodhpur?
AIIMS Jodhpur hostel facilities are excellent as single rooms are available from the first year itself giving a sense of freedom to its students. I am attaching a few pics that will give you an idea of the hostel life there.

Hostel rules: There are only restrictions on timings in which you need to fill out a pass if you want to go out between 10.30 PM and 5 AM.

- There is a library in the hostel that has non-fiction books too
- Late-night parties, card games, mobile games, and staying up late at night is a common occurrence

Should I opt for AIIMS Raipur over AIIMS Jodhpur if I am from Maharashtra as Jodhpur is further away? I am generally looking for good college and hostel facilities and infrastructure.
Many students are confused while choosing their AIIMS College. AIIMS Raipur is usually ranked low in the list of 2012 implemented AIIMS.So firstI will address the misconceptions that l led to this conclusion:

People think that the hostel is far from the campus. When in reality you will be staying in the residential complex. You can come to the campus easily via a bus. Also you will be free from the fear of seniors. Also after a year you will be given single rooms at the hostel itself.

To have a look at its infrastructure, people refer to its old pictures which are misleading. The college and hostel are in fact massive and house thousands of students.

There is a rumour that AIIMS Raipur campus is incomplete. In reality, a dental college is being constructed.

People assume that since it’s located in Raipur, the crowd is also below average.
The only flaw is that the city needs development. All AIIMSs get equal funding and faculty distributed evenly. Yet AIIMS Raipur is underrated.
What are the hostel rules for AIIMS Jodhpur? Is it strict as compared to other AIIMS?
Following are some of the facts you should know about AIIMS Jodhpur hostel facilities:
- After 10:30 PM, you will not be allowed outside the hostel. This includes both boys and girls. If someone wishes to have an Overnight Pass, they can obtain it the same day.
- Both male and female students are provided a Single Room throughout MBBS.
- The rooms consist of a cooler, proper and well maintained beds, mattresses, a table and a chair.
- There is no restriction on the number of gate passes one requires.
- Vehicles are not allowed, but many students keep them. Some of the seniors also have their own cars.
- ACs have been installed by some senior students in the PG hostel.
- Trespassing to other hostels are not allowed, for both boys and girls.
Majority of the rules are the same as other colleges. The hostels usually during your initial years might come across as strict but eventually everything lightens up.

Life at AIIMS Jodhpur is very lively and energetic and trust me you won’t miss your home even for a second. The campus will become your second home and your friends and your newly found family. The campus has amazing facilities that will make your stay all the more comfortable.

- Every student gets his own private space in the form of a single room which is an amazing experience.
- The college strictly implements the No Ragging policy and ensures harmony between the seniors and juniors.
- The initial months witness strict hostel rules like timings, deadlines, and stuff but soon there are relaxations on these rules and you are free to come and go as you will.
- AIIMS Jodhpur might be a disappointment for those looking for a city life and college nightlife experience. Here, there isn’t much to explore outside the campus but for most of them, it’s not an issue as all they want is to stay in their rooms.
- The overall campus is serene with lush greenery, wide roads, and tall buildings.
- AIIMS Jodhpur offers top-notch clinical exposure with a number of diverse cases both rare and common.
- The fest held annually gives an all-together vibe alternating the dynamics of the institute.
- Sports and cultural activities are encouraged and many clubs have been made to promote these activities,
AIIMS Jodhpur is nowhere near AIIMS Delhi or JIPMER, but its unique experience is personal to those who have been part of its family.
How is life at AIIMS Patna, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh? Is it as cool as life at AIIMS Delhi?
Life at AIIMS Delhi cannot be compared to other AIIMS as it is the mother AIIMS and will always be a notch better than others. Also, its location plays a major advantage in giving you the best college-life experience.
After AIIMS, what was fulfilled by expectations of a dynamic college life was AIIMS Jodhpur. It certainly is heaven for food lovers and has many watering openings every now and then. For everyone, there is a set criteria for a good college life and for my sister, it was one that gave her freedom and academics on the same plate. AIIMS Jodhpur ended up as the best choice fulfilling both criteria.
- AIIMS Jodhpur has a huge campus that is maintained decently and is very safe. My sister loved strolling across the campus and enjoying the serenity of the campus.
- There are many places to travel to during weekends and Rajasthan is a good option.
- AIIMS Jodhpur is known for its dynamic sports environment which is better than any other AIIMS.
- There is no ragging and harmony between seniors and juniors is a common sight.
- The college holds amazing intercollegiate sports and a cultural fest. These are well-organized and attract students from many colleges.
- The professors are cooperative and approachable so you don’t have to hesitate for getting any doubts cleared.
- Every junior is assigned a mentor either from faculty or seniors that guides them and helps them

You cannot doubt the hospitality of the city and locals of Jodhpur. It’s very safe for students and the people here are very friendly. AIIMS Jodhpur in itself is a very safe place to be in. Guarded 24/7 by the security guards, the AIIMS Jaipur campus is safe and secure. The UG hostels have strict rules to ensure student safety. The deadline for returning to hostels is 10.30 P.M. Opposite genders cannot visit each other's hostels.

- The AIIMS Jodhpur is the first Medical College in India to initiate the course of M.B.B.S. batch 2020.
- AIIMS Jodhpur has an amazing campus and infrastructural facilities. All the departments provide excellent education and opportunities to their students.

How is MD Medicine from AIIMS Jodhpur compared to other well-known institutes of India like VMMC Sardarjung, MAMC, KEM, and BJMC (Ahmedabad)?
AIIMS Jodhpur launched its PG course in various clinical branches in 2017 and has been providing excellent training and research opportunities ever since then. The patient load is also very satisfying and enough clinical exposure is offered.
However, AIIMS Jodhpur MD Medicine is specifically not well established so you need to check before coming here.
- Their GM department has only two assistant professors right now. The department is filled with senior residents mostly.
- The patient load in this department is very low in comparison to other well-established colleges like MAMC, VMMC, etc.
- AIIMS Jodhpur lacks the necessary assistance provided by the seniors
Ultimately it’s best to go for MAMC or VMMC compared to AIIMS Jodhpur if you are specifically targeting MD Medicine.
If someone got selected in JIPMER, AIIMS JODHPUR, BHU or AFMC then which medical college he/she should prefer to join?

- AIIMS Jodhpur is newly established in comparison to the other institutions that you have mentioned. Therefore, it should not come as your topmost priority.
AFMC
- AFMC is the way to go if you aim to serve in the Indian Armed Forces
- If you wish to complete your PG just after your MBBS and have a problem with the bond of AFMC, you should not opt for JIPMER
JIPMER
- JIPMER is a central government college
- It has a good infrastructure and well-established departments
- For students from the northern parts, the location of JIPMER (Pondicherry) might be a negative point in terms of its distance from their hometown
IMS BHU, Varanasi
- It is a well-reputed medical college, no less than JIPMER
- It is located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh
- If the location of JIPMER does not suit you, you can go for IMS BHU
