B.Tech from Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ghaziabad

In order to get admission at Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology, you will have to enroll in the UPSEE examination counseling rounds.

After that, when the admissions through UPSEE score gets over, the seats are filled through direct admission or management quota. The management quota seats are filled based on the Board Examination marks scored by a student. There is some specified percentage based on which the Direct Admission seats are distributed.

You have the option to either apply via offline mode or online based on your preferences. You can visit the college’s official website to check the latest updates for the procedure of admission.

Why should I choose Galgotias University? How is it better than other universities?

R
RogueRequiem Posted On : February 25th, 2026

I'm currently in my third year of B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at Galgotias University. Let me share what I've learned and experienced here. I'll give you both the good and the not-so-good sides, and you can make your own decision.

Here’s why you might consider choosing Galgotias University:

  • The tuition is quite reasonable when you compare it to other colleges in the NCR region.
  • Most students end up with job placements, and the placement rate is better compared to other private colleges in the area.
  • However, around 90% of the students get jobs in IT companies with starting salaries of about 3 LPA, often in BPOs.
  • Only a few manage to secure positions with salaries ranging from 5 to 12 LPA.
  • The curriculum is fairly up-to-date with industry standards.
  • You’ll meet some students who are really passionate and good at what they do.

Now, here are some reasons you might think twice:

  • The campus is located in a remote area, so commuting takes up a lot of time.
  • The general student crowd isn’t very focused, with many unsure about their goals. In my CSE class of 1400, only about 50 students can actually code.
  • In most classes, there are only 2 or 3 students who are genuinely interested in learning, which often leads to teachers losing interest in teaching effectively.
  • Attendance seems to be the main reason for attending classes.
  • Some teachers, especially in CSE, aren’t great at teaching, although there are a few exceptions.
  • The deans change frequently; I've seen four different deans in just two years in my department.
  • The lab facilities are quite poor.
  • Teachers are frequently replaced; we had three different teachers in one semester.
  • There’s a lot of internal politics, making administration quite inefficient.
  • Getting any issue resolved can be a frustrating loop with no real solution.
  • There’s a lack of coordination between departments, and things often run on makeshift solutions.
  • Policies and rules change every semester or two.
  • Certain groups, like the Gujjars, tend to disrupt events, whether it’s a fresher’s party or a promotional event.

So, that’s my take on Galgotias University. Weigh these points and see what fits best for you!

Should I go to Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering or PES Electric City for CSE in regard of good faculty package and placement?

S
SilentShadow Posted On : February 25th, 2026

I would recommend Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) if you're looking for good placement opportunities. The college has a strong placement record, with the highest package reaching up to 56 LPA this year and an average package around 10 LPA for CSE students. Many big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Infosys visit the campus for placements, which is a big plus. Plus, the college offers a decent curriculum that prepares us for the real world, although they could improve the teaching methods to make them more practical. Overall, I feel confident that I will land a good job after my degree from here.

How was your experience at Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology Noida?

C
CosmicComposer Posted On : February 23rd, 2026

Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology in Noida is considered one of the top private engineering colleges under UPTU. Admission is quite competitive, with 85% of the seats filled through the UPTU entrance exam and 15% reserved for the management quota. To get in, you generally need a high rank, and even for management seats, a good percentage is necessary.

I graduated from this college and received job offers from Infosys and Accenture. If you're interested in IT or Computer Science, it's a great choice. However, if you're looking into other core fields, the opportunities are more limited. Still, if you have the right skills, you might land a job with core companies too. The placement cell works hard to ensure every student gets a job.

In terms of academics, the faculty and infrastructure are superior compared to other UPTU colleges. The campus vibe is lively, similar to that of Delhi University, and they host annual festivals. If you have this college as an option, go for it confidently. Good luck. Just a note, this review is specifically about GCET, not Galgotia University.

Is Galgotia College of Engineering good for CSE?

E
ElectricEchoes Posted On : February 21st, 2026

I've been looking into Indian engineering schools for the past decade, so here's what I found about this topic. Galgotia is considered a Tier-4 engineering college in India. Unfortunately, you won't find campus placements like those at higher-tier colleges. For instance, IITs, which are Tier-1 schools, provide more resources and opportunities for their students, making them a better choice than Galgotia. If Tier-4 colleges like Galgotia offered these kinds of facilities and services, they might move up to Tier-1 status.

What is your review of Galgotia College of Engineering?

Z
ZenithZenith Posted On : February 20th, 2026

I graduated from Galgotia College of Engineering in 2011, and here's my take on it:

It seems like the college is more interested in taking money from students than anything else. They don't really stick to any ethical or moral standards. The management isn't very respectable, and unfortunately, they don't treat their students well. If you're considering this college, I wouldn't advise it. It's only worth considering if you're okay with getting a job offer between 2 to 4 LPA. The overall placement rate is around 60-80%.

What are some good views about Galgotia College? Which should I prefer KIET or Galgotias College?

A
AstralAviator Posted On : February 18th, 2026

I'd definitely recommend KIET, and I'm not saying this just because I graduated from there. My opinion is based on my four years of experience at the college. The teachers here are the backbone of the institute. Compared to other UPTU colleges, KIET boasts some of the most knowledgeable and experienced faculty members across all branches.

The placement cell is pretty decent. It's not amazing, but it gets the job done. Students from any field can expect to get offers around 3 to 4 lpa. I studied Civil Engineering and landed a job at Tech Mahindra with a package of 3.07 lpa. While there are some lucky ones who manage to get double that amount, such cases are rare and depend largely on personal effort. Companies like Tech Mahindra and TCS are frequent recruiters, so you can be quite confident about securing a job by the time you finish your degree. Additionally, KIET churns out a good number of students who clear GATE and other competitive exams, thanks to the academically focused environment and supportive faculty.

The campus has almost every facility you might need, or they're located nearby. Plus, there is no dress code, which is a big plus. It adds to the college vibe and gives you a break from that high school uniform feel that is common in many other UPTU colleges.

What is your review of Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology?

V
VelvetVerse Posted On : February 18th, 2026

I graduated in 2011. From what I saw, the college seems more focused on taking money from students rather than providing good education. The management lacks ethics and doesn't treat students well. I wouldn't advise anyone to join this college. It's not the best choice unless you're okay with getting a job offer of about 2-4 LPA. Placement rates are around 60-80%.

Is Galgotia University a good choice for studying computer science? How are the job placements at the university and what do people say about it?

C
ChromaticCrest Posted On : February 16th, 2026

People often mix up Galgotia College and Galgotia University because admission agents usually say they are the same.

Difference When it comes to computer science, Galgotia College offers salary packages between 6 to 7 lakhs per year, while Galgotia University generally offers between 3 to 4 lakhs annually.

Suggestion If you're aiming for a computer science course and can't get into Galgotia College, you might want to consider Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology or Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIT).

Reason to Avoid Private Universities In 2022, a decision by the Supreme Court regarding Abdul Kalam University, previously called Uttar Pradesh Technical University, created some confusion. This led to universities like Galgotia University and IILM University admitting over 4000 students in computer science and related fields, which might not be ideal.
