For lateral entry students, Easwari Engineering College provides a number of facilities and courses for their overall curriculum development and placement training. 

The points listed below give a brief overview of the same.

• The lateral entry students generally face some difficulties in coping up with the syllabus. Easwari Engineering College provides a number of courses for overcoming these difficulties and placing the students on track with the syllabus.
• The Bridge Course provided by the college is considered to be most important for the lateral entry students. In this course, special classes are taken to cover the topics and chapters from the first year which the students have missed.
• Programs are organized for placement related training before the hiring session starts.
• The college is rich in both curricular and extracurricular activities. The teaching staff support the lateral students in every curriculum and teaching-related queries.
• You will generally find the practical lab-sessions easy to grasp, and having the knowledge from professors, it becomes a smooth workflow.
• Industry-related elective subjects are provided in the curriculum, which aids in placement and practical knowledge.
• Courses that are of the recent trend in the industry are taught as a part of the syllabus. Lateral entry students who have subjects like CNC, Designing, 3d printing, etc gain a lot of experience in them.
• A good number of companies in core branches, IT, Civil, etc visit the campus for placement and provide decent CTCs to students from every branch.

So, for lateral entry students, Easwari Engineering College has all the facilities listed above and students get a lot of opportunities for a career in the industry and further studies. One of my friends is a lateral entry student and had a good academic experience at the institute.

My brother did PGPDE from NTTF, so I have some idea about both courses.

PGDE:

• It is a two-year program that includes Industrial Design (ID), but engineering is also taught alongside ID.
• Design studios, labs, model shops, and tools are all in poor condition.
• There will be only one experienced faculty, others will give you assignments only.
• The emphasis is primarily on engineering, with little or no emphasis on ID.
• There is no research going on there, and you will not get as much exposure as you would at a Tier II college.

PGTE:

• PGPDE is a two-year program that focuses on tool and die design, engineering, and analysis.
• Workshops are available, but the availability of machines does not match the strength of the students, making it difficult to complete projects.
• There are experienced staff members available, and the teaching is comparatively good. A lot of CAD assignments must be submitted for each semester (which is good for learning in the beginning), but one major disadvantage is that you will never receive feedback on the assignments you submit.
• AutoCAD and Creo software have been taught. However, in the industry, UG NX and Catia are widely used.
• Last but not least, many students enroll in PG school NTTF because of placements. To tell you the truth, only a few companies come to campus. Many companies advertised in advertisements visited the campus last decade, but they still keep it in the ad.
• Nowadays, placements are very poor, either because service-based companies do not visit campus or because the salary offered by them is too low. For the PG programs, the median and maximum CTC offered in current years is 2.5 lakhs and 3.4 lakhs. 

I will advise you to take all these factors into consideration, before choosing PGDE or PGTE at NTTF. 

For B.Tech courses VIT has been ranked #15-300 in India for the year 2020 by NIRF rankings. In Tamil Nadu, the university was ranked #4th for courses in B.Tech. On the other hand, Manipal University was ranked #8-200 for top universities in India by NIRF rankings in the year 2020.

Admissions

• Manipal University, Manipal:

  • Completed his/ her 10+2 grade or equivalent from a recognized board With Physics, Mathematics, and English as the compulsory subjects with 50% marks.

  • The candidate taking admission should also qualify the Manipal Entrance Test (MET)- 2020.

  • 3.35 Lakhs is the total fee for the CSE course in the 1st year.

• VIT Vellore:

  • The candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM or PCB as the subjects.

  • Minimum 60% marks should be obtained by the aspirant in 10+2.

  • The selections are done on the basis of counseling and marks obtained in the entrance texts i.e., VITEEE.

  • The total course fee for ECE in VIT is 1.98 Lakhs.

Placements

• Manipal University, Manipal:

  • 6.2 Lakhs was the median salary offered to CSE students in the University.

  • Top recruiting companies in Manipal are Forbes Marshall, Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, Cipla, Hero Moto Corp, Maruti Suzuki, INFOYSIS, Intel, etc.

• VIT Vellore:

  • 713+ companies visited the campus with a total of 705 dream offers.

  • The highest package offered was 41.60 LPA and 6.05 LPA was the average salary offered.

  • Microsoft, Philips, HP, TCS, Wipro, Intel, Bank of America, Infosys, Deloitte, and Bosch among many others are top recruiters of the University.

Campus

• Manipal University, Manipal:

  • The campus is about 313 acres in the area.

  • Hospital facilities, sports facilities, and innovative centers are available for students, Wi-Fi facility is available everywhere across the campus, restaurants, libraries, hostel, labs, etc. are some of the facilities available on-campus.

• VIT Vellore:

  • The campus size is about 250 acres.

  • Clubs, library, sports facilities, hostel, health services, transport facilities, pollution friendly management projects such as liquid waste management, solid waste management, solar power, wind power, etc. are some of the facilities and activities going on in the campus.

If the subject is not the priority then VIT is a lot ahead of Manipal as it provides excellent placements and living environment to the students. But it all depends on the choice and interests of the aspirant seeking admissions.

However, not living in hostels for the environment of students can be a disadvantage at times, but on the other hand, you can use this to your advantage to not become a student mindset individual but to be a better version of yourself being groomed in the Corporate Environment.

Overall, this is a good and appropriate college for completing an Entrepreneurship course because we can study that it is an ecosystem that fosters new young aspiring entrepreneurs.

According to some of my friends from ISI Kolkata said it does offer undergraduate courses B.Stat or B.Math. Let me tell you some courses in detail for better insight.

Indian Statistical Institute offers the following two bachelor programs:

3-year B Stat (Honors):

• The criterion for this is you require successful completion of Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics and English as subjects.
• You will get a Stipend Rs.3000/- per month (Offered at Kolkata).

3-year B Math (Honors):

• The criterion for this is you require successful completion of Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics and English as subjects.
• Stipend Rs.3000/- per month (Offered at Bangalore).

Therefore, according to my friends, apart from these two undergraduate courses, ISI does not offer any other Bachelor Programs.
