What is your review of Chaudhary Charan Singh University?
Chaudhary Charan Singh University is a well-known university in the region. It offers good infrastructure and facilities to students. The university library has a good collection of books. CCS alumni list includes names such as Mayawati, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kumar Vishwas, etc. The campus placements for the institute aren’t too good. But you can get good opportunities through off-campus placements.
How does the Achiever's round work at Goa Institute of Management??
If you are shortlisted for the Achiever's round at a management institute like Goa Institute of Management, you will receive an email with further instructions. You will have to book your interview slot from the options provided. You will have the choice of attending a lecture with current students or an option without class.
You will be required to reach the campus by 9 am on the day of the interview. You will be directed to a classroom where the document verification process will take place. A random allotment will be made among eight faculties/admin staff responsible for document verification. While filling out the form, you will be asked to write your three best achievements and provide proof for the same. Make sure to write only verifiable achievements.
You will be split into groups of 10-12 candidates for the Group Discussion. There will be two panelists (both faculties at the institute). This will be a mix of Group Interviews and Group Discussions. You will be given a minute to introduce yourself, and the panelists will then ask you to choose a topic for discussion. You will discuss current issues, and a topic will be given based on the work experience of all candidates. For example, "How do you handle Passive vs Aggressive bosses".
After the group discussion, you will have lunch, and then the PI round 1 will start. Here, two panelists (one male, one female) will interview you. The interview questions will be general and based on your work experience. You may be asked about your name, something about yourself, the best and worst brand you worked for, the marketing strategy for the institute, and any questions you may have for the panelists.
After the first round, you will be asked to wait back, and some names will be announced for the Director's round. If your name is called, you will have to wait in the reception area for your turn. The Director's round will be more intense, and you may be asked questions about your work experience and why you want to pursue an MBA. Make sure to prepare well for this round.
The Director's round questions will include topics like your work experience, marketing, sales, and real estate. There may be multiple panelists, and some may not ask any questions. You may be asked to explain your document verification process if it's not in place.
If you successfully complete the interview process, you may be given a spot offer. It's important to stay positive and confident throughout the process, even if you feel nervous. Make sure to prepare well and answer all questions honestly and to the best of your ability.
Can one upgrade from one branch to another in DTU by scoring a good CGPA in first year?
DTU has a unique branch change policy wherein your chances of branch change depend on your JEE Rank and not your CGPA. Earlier, DTU had no branch change policy, but this has been added recently to give relaxation to its students.
However, the catch is it is almost impossible to get branch change through JEE Rank and only the lucky ones can get their branch changed here.
Is BITS Pilani a good place to study?
BITS Pilani is considered to be one of the top engineering institutes in India. It has a strong reputation for its academic programs and research opportunities. Let’s consider the following factors to determine if it’s a good place to study or not.
Academics
- The faculty pool is inferior to that of the top IITs with a few exceptionally good professors
- The professors deliver limited knowledge meant to just complete the course and not give an actual understanding of the topic at high levels.
- The overall academic ambiance is average
Infrastructure:
- BITS Pilani infrastructure is considered good surrounded by natural beauty.
- The hostels are also great with big rooms and basic amenities.
- The internet facilities here are amazing with a great DC++ Network.
Peer
- BITS Pilani is widely known for attracting the best minds thereby maintaining the crowd quality.
- BITS has no reservation policy
Research:
- BITS Pilani is not a government-funded institute so to conduct research the funds here are limited thus a poor research culture.
- The quality of PhDs in BITS is pathetic and it will take some time to improve the research work.
Fees
- It’s a well-known fact that BITS Pilani fees are very high thus becoming a major reason why students from financially unstable backgrounds cannot afford to study here.
- Every year, the fees suffer a 15% hike which is not justified considering there is not much improvement in the facilities.
Placements
- The placements for the IT and non-core sectors are great and at par with old IITs.
- Core placements for Civil and Manufacturing branches are average.
In all, BITS has its weaknesses and you can consider it a good option if you are ready to overlook them.
How are ranks and gold medals awarded by Visvesvaraya Technological University VTU for a B.E. course What should we do to achieve them?
My friend graduated from Visvesvaraya Technological University with a gold medal. She ranked amongst the top ten students with the highest aggregate in CS.
It is calculated by the average of total marks of the last four semesters. A Gold medal becomes a dream if you fail in any of the subjects.
There are 2 types of Gold medals are of two types:
- Merit Gold medal is given to those with the highest aggregate in their major/branch.
- Endowment Gold medals are sponsored in different categories like for bright students of different categories and gender-based distribution.
Getting a gold medal is not impossible. Follow 2-3 additional books, study throughout the year and understand the core engineering and mathematical concepts. Internal assessments should be taken seriously as well. Be clear in your intentions and don't budge because there'll be distractions, but you can make your mark if you will it.
How much time does it take to get a degree certificate from Kerala University?
Getting a B.Tech degree certificate from Kerala University, might take around 3 months. But if it is urgent, you could submit the application form along with a request stating your urgency.
Firstly you need to apply for a provisional certificate. Once you get that, you can apply for the original degree certificate along with the copies of the provisional certificate, mark sheets, and challan (original) to the concerned section or COE.
After verification, you will get the degree certificate within 3-6 months. It will be delivered via registered post.
This could sometimes vary as it depends on the person handling your college. If he wishes he could speed up the process.
I have converted to IIM Kashipur but already paid 1 term fee at IIM Sambalpur, with no refund. What should I do?
Go for it if you can afford to lose the money. If not, don't be disappointed. Just consider placements for the evaluation, as the location and life are both beautiful. Placements at IIM Kashipur have an obvious advantage, but only for the top 10% of the batch will it make a significant difference. Otherwise, you'll do well at both locations.
Furthermore, if you're looking for future entitlement, it makes little difference. IIM Kashipur is the newest, and IIM Sambalpur is the youngest. If you build a strong profile for yourself, the location between these two IIMs will not hold much value in the future. As a result, if you can afford to lose the money, do so without hesitation. If you can't afford to lose that money, forget it and you will have no regrets.
How beneficial is it to earn a MS Software Systems from BITS pilani?

Pros
- You can get a degree alongside working and seek promotion through it.
- The WILP can help you if you want to change your career to a different field, domain, or technology.
- The program also plays a big role in upgrading your knowledge base and revising your basics.
- The program also makes your resume look lucrative especially if you have done UG from an average institute.
- Some students who have a passion for studying find this program intriguing and fun.
- It shows your interest in the field and the efforts you are capable of investing in this field.
Cons
- Quite a few companies don’t seem to consider distance learning anywhere equal to a full-time course.
- Your learning process can be hampered by your work and personal life.
Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if you are willing to take this degree or not.
What is some information about Adamas University?
Adamas University is a private university which offers students various undergraduate and postgraduate courses including management, humanities, law, engineering, etc. It also provides doctorate courses. The university is ranked at 4th place in the East and 74th place all over India according to Times Engineering survey 2019.
- Admissions and Fee Structure: Admission for B. Tech is through JEE main and fee for the same is around 1.53 lakhs/year. The student must have cleared the 12th class with at least 45% marks. And the admission for MBA is through CAT and student must have secures at least 50% marks in graduation. The fee for the MBA program is around 2.41 lakhs/year. The university has a different fee structure for each course. For M.Sc., the fee is around 1.3 lakhs/year and for Ph.D., it is nearly 1.15 lakhs/year. For M. Tech fee is 1.76 lakhs/year and for M.A. it is around ?94000 per year.
- Placements: Sadly, the placements are not up to the expectations of students. Students from courses other than engineering are less suffered. Although some good companies such as CTS, Infosys, HCL, TCS, Intex, WIPRO, etc. visit the campus every year. A total of 93 corporate organizations have visited the campus. As per record, the final placement offered is 88% out of which 43% are offered outside Bengal. The highest package offered is 10 LPA and the average package is nearly 3.88 LPA.
- Infrastructure: The campus is located near CCU airport, so there no issue for the mobility of students who are not from the same state. There are AC classrooms and labs possess all required equipment. The library provides most of the course books to students. Free wi-fi service is available in the academic section as well as in hostels. There are separate hostels for boys, girls and married students. 24×7 wi-fi, electricity and water supply. Bank services are also available. Hostlers can choose between AC or non-Ac rooms. There are single-bed, 2-bed and 3-bed rooms available. The cafeteria is also good and now there is Panda Junction and Ahare Bahare where students enjoy their favorite phuchka and paanipuri.
- Faculty and campus life: Some of faculty members are from top institutes of India like IITs. Most of the faculty provide studies material from ppts. Fresher party is organized every year for new batch. Seminars on AIDS, Art in Science and other topics are organized for students. There are Dramatic clubs, Entrepreneurship clubs, Robotics clubs and other technical and non-tech societies. These societies organize their workshops for students. Students are required to maintain 75% attendance as it is counted for 10 marks in overall marking scheme.
How do I convert my percentage into CGPA under RGPV University?
Different universities use various conversion methods and grading systems.
In the case of RGPV, the conversion base is 10. If you receive 78% or 78 marks out of 100, your SGPA/CGPA is 7.8 out of 10 according to RGPV. To convert it to Grade Point Average, simply divide the number by ten. Thus, by multiplying by 10, the reversal equivalent percentage can be calculated.
Equivalent Percentage = (SGPA/CGPA) × 10
If you turn over your RGPV Semester Marksheet, you will see a conversion Formula to convert your CGPA/SGPA into the equivalent percentage required in a few exam forms that must be submitted during application time.
If you require an RGPV equivalent percentage conversion form, simply provide a Xerox copy of the back side of your semester mark sheet. There is no need for a complex format or the signature and seal of the university/college head.
