What happens in BSc IGNOU practicals?
Practicals for first-year B.Sc students are held in February for the July session. Practicals are usually held on Sundays at around 9 a.m. Boys and girls have their rooms. When the assistant finishes the distribution work, the teacher asks you to write two experiments with the aim, requirements, method, theory, and everything with tables. The teacher announces the student's name. He then asks a few questions regarding the same before concluding the practicals. You just have to keep the file handy and create a beautiful piece. Can I join IIM at 35?
Yes, you can join IIM at 35. There is no upper age limit for IIM MBA admission or CAT. The only requirement is that the individual should just possess a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks in the same.
How does a typical day in IIM A pass by?
Here’s a brief look into a typical day at IIM Ahmedabad.
- Lectures start from 8:45 sharp. The lecture timing at IIM Ahmedabad has a zero error policy. It means you can’t attend the class even if you are one second late. It’s best if you wake up around 7. That way you will have time to get ready for class in time. Although there are students who wake up at 8, grab something to eat if possible, and reach class down to the wire.
- There will be classes and breaks in a loop until the lunch break. Even if you are sleepy you will have to be active in class for the class participation marks.
- The lunch break is at 1 pm. During lunch, you will see students checking their emails or quiz board for notices regarding an upcoming quiz. If you have a quiz at 2:45 pm, you will get the notice around 1:45 pm. Students who don’t have to prep for a quiz, either study or take a nap.
- After 5 pm, the campus starts buzzing with various group activities. Many also start working on their group assignments.
- Students start to get dinner from around 8 pm.
- After dinner, most students either do their group assignments or study.
Naturally, the schedule varies depending on the individuals. But the activities are more or less same.
How long does it usually take for IGNOU to confirm admissions taken through their online submission system?
First and foremost, you must wait until the last date for admission to that cycle has passed. Following that, you should receive confirmation within two to three weeks. After confirmation, you will receive a message on your registered phone number and via email.
After submitting the required documents, the mail regarding admission acceptance is received within an hour.

How is the mess food at IIT Delhi?
IIT Delhi has a total of 18 hostels for men, and 2 hostels for women. Each hostel has its mess hall that serves decent quality food. The general trend in most hostels is Breakfast>>Lunch>=Dinner. The mess menu is decided in winter/summer semester-wise separately and generally doesn't change throughout the semester.
A variety of dishes are served and the taste is also very good. Additionally, there are night messes till 4 am where you can munch on paranthe, momos, and Chinese. Some eateries that serve excellent snacks are Hollistic for juices and shakes, Rajdhani, Chaayos, CCD, Staff Canteen, and many more. Some combinations of meals served in the mess are

A schedule is followed for mess food in every hostel. In which, sometimes the items served may differ. But the variety and quality of the food are excellent making it one of the motivating factors for students.
How is the percentage calculated in IGNOU BA Including the assignment marks?
In general, the IGNOU calculates the percentage on a 30:70 basis.
Assignments = 30
Theory Exam = 70
Initially, assignments and theory will be graded out of 100. Then it will be converted based on the ratio. So, 30% of the total assignment marks and 70% of the theory exam, both marks are totaled into one.
The percentage is calculated by dividing total marks by the number of subjects, which is 309.7/5= 61.94.
So that's how the marks or percentage or grade calculation works.
Can I get admission in DU with 85?
Depending on the course and the number of applications, each college at DU has its cut-off. This cut-off is also different for each student category. SC, ST, OBC, and PWD candidates generally have lower cut-offs than general category students. There is also an option for students who excel in sports and extracurricular activities to get a break from the cut-off.
The first step is to complete the Admission form, which is available both online and offline on the official website. The dates for the cut-offs will also be announced on the same website. You can see if you pass the cutoff based on your score on the board. Most colleges accept the best of four scores with English as a mandatory subject, and subjects such as Physical Education are not considered. If you see that you meet the cut-off for a specific college, it is a good idea to check the college's website to see if they have any additional eligibility criteria. If you meet all of the requirements, you must report to the college within the next two days. What is the craziest story you have heard from NIT Trichy?
This story took place in the first year of my sister’s course. During the first semester exams, the area witnessed heavy rain for about 4 to 5 days. Due to the rains, the grounds of the campus and the area around the hostel were completely flooded. With cows on the campus, their primary source of nutrition had vanished.
One of my sister’s friends forgot to lock the room door on the day of the chemistry exam. When he returned, he looked around the room to check for his belongings. Bed, clothes, books, cow, cupboard. A cow!
Truth to be told, there really was a cow in a corner of his room eating away at his books. The first book to be nibbled page by page was PW Atkins Physical Chemistry, an essential chemistry textbook. It seemed like the cow knew how to eat a book as it was eating it page by page. It had started with the cover and was on page 176 by the time my sister’s friend reached. It was of course imperative to get the bovine out of the room.
Looking at the commotion, a small crowd had also gathered and the cow refused to leave despite multiple attempts. Poking with a broom didn’t help either. What was worse than it had switched over to eating Richard Feynman’s Lectures on Physics and these three books were collectively worth INR 2500. My friend clearly didn’t want to bear that sort of damage. Finally, someone grabbed the cow’s tail which somehow got it to leave and out of the hostel.
The cow definitely found these two subjects easier to digest than students. It was a wild day. They even found white cow dung a few days later.
What is the PRN number of Mumbai University?
PRN (Permanent Registration Number) is a 16 digit unique number that is also referred to as the roll number of a student provided by this university.
While applying for any course at Mumbai University, you are required to fill an online application form and after submitting this form the data is stored by the system. The data is used to find whether or not you are eligible. If you are eligible for admission then you will be provided with the 16 digit number known as PRN and it will remain the same throughout the registration period.
This PRN number can be used as a reference number for any kind of contact or communication with the university
So, the PRN number of a student is basically the reference or roll number which will be used throughout your graduation period.
How is the MCA from IGNOU?
The syllabus of the IGNOU MCA program is not outdated. If you are considering this program, you don't need to rely on second-hand sources to know about the syllabus. All the books of IGNOU are available on the internet in PDF format for free, and you can download and check the syllabus.
IGNOU keeps revising the syllabus to keep it relevant. BCA program includes C, C++, and Java, which serve as an entry-level foundation for programming. MCA program is more about algorithms, data structure, discrete maths, and system design and less about programming. It's designed to prepare you for a project manager (tech architect) kind of role rather than a "manual tester" or "Java developer" kind of role. IGNOU's MCA program is much more comprehensive and difficult compared to a BTech from Mumbai or Pune university.
MCA syllabus in IGNOU is difficult, which is why it has value, and you need to write a lot of assignments. So, don't assume that you will get an easy degree just because it is a "distance" degree. The exam question papers are also of higher difficulty, and the checking is tough. You will attempt 80 marks on the paper and score 55, which will be your default experience throughout the course. You will feel the university breathing down your neck. IGNOU students never say that they breezed through the course easily. Backlogs will become a staple, and at least 3-4 subjects will have to be repeated twice to clear them.
After all of this, the end result that you get is totally worth it. People who have graduated from IGNOU have gone on to work in big firms such as IT analysts at Goldman Sachs, Tower Research, etc., and not the useless "TCS, Wipro, Infy" kind of sweatshop companies.
