What is the purpose of a study center/regional center in IGNOU?

YJ
Yashoda Joshi Posted On : October 20th, 2022
B.C.A in Bachelor of Computer Applications Degrees, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

Every state in India may have at least one IGNOU regional centre. Some people may have multiples. Kerala, for example, has two.

Regional centres provide admission, textbooks, and results, among other things.

Some courses are available for study in regional centres, but they are uncommon. Study centres are typically used for classes as well as the administration of theory and practical exams.

There are numerous IGNOU study centres located throughout the state and the country. Typically, each district in a state has at least one IGNOU study centre. However, this is conditional on the state. One issue is that not all study centres offer all IGNOU courses.

It is possible that the course you want to study is not available at your nearest study centre. As a result, you must choose a study centre based on your desired course. This is due to the fact that a course that requires practical classes requires a study centre with computer facilities, and so on.

You can attend classes at the study centre, and before the exams, the study centre sends all of your information to the regional centre, such as your attendance, assignment submission, and so on. The regional centre then combines all of this information with your term-end exam results to produce a final result.

What is your opinion about the Anna University results?

K
Karthikeyan Posted On : December 1st, 2022
Studied at Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India

The general opinion regarding the results of Anna University is don’t expect anything. There is no proper strategy behind their checking. There is a very poorly organized and careless system for the same. Hundreds of students complain about their shocking marks and final retort to revaluation. The cost of revaluation is extremely high. It seems that it’s the university’s strategy to earn money.

The results at Anna University are always unsatisfactory and many students apply for revaluation every year.

IIT BHU

Yes, you may challenge the BHU result. But the chances that you will face such a situation are very low. This is because from the conducting of exams to the results everything is handled by an independent department. This department works under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor and other experienced officers. So the chances of an error are low.

Still you are always open to challenge the BHU result. The authorities will surely respond for the same.

U

Bachelor of Arts from Indira Gandhi National Open university (IGNOU) (Graduated 2016)

IGNOU is a massive university that has millions of students from all over the world. Working on such a large scale, it is subject to some delays sometimes. If you have waited for more than 2 weeks, visit your Regional Centre to know the exact cause of delay.

You might have failed to secure minimum marks and will have to redo the assignments. Following are some very important points you need to ensure before submitting your assignments:

  • Get your assignments photocopied prior to submission

  • Take the signature of the person accepting the assignments

  • Keep the acknowledgement slip safe for future reference

By doing this you will have a proof of assignment submissions in case a problem arises.

SN
Shubham Naik Posted On : March 15th, 2023
B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal (Graduated 2018)

When it comes to B.E program, there are typically two papers that you will have to deal with at RGPV University: theory and practical. The theory paper usually accounts for 70 marks, and in order to pass it, you will need to score at least 22 marks. The other paper is practical, and in this examination, the marks you receive will be based on how well you answer the questions asked by the external examiner, as well as your attendance record. Your head of department (HOD) will then assign a score to your practical based on these factors.

To summarize, in order to pass your theory paper, you need to aim for a minimum score of 22 out of 70. Meanwhile, your practical score will depend on your performance during the examination, as well as your attendance record. Keep in mind that it is important to focus on both aspects of the examination in order to succeed in your B.E studies.

What is the procedure for WH1 in Anna University results?

ST
Sai Trivendra Posted On : March 21st, 2023
Studied at Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India

WH1 is a code that appears on Anna University exam results and indicates that the results have been withheld due to a specific reason. In the case of WH1, the reason is that the college has failed to submit the internal marks of students. Internal marks are a crucial component of the evaluation process, and they play a significant role in determining the final grades of the students.

The college has a responsibility to submit the internal marks of the students to the university on time. If the college fails to do so, the university withholds the results until the internal marks are submitted. This process ensures that the evaluation of the students is accurate and fair and that the results reflect the true performance of the students.

Once the college takes the appropriate steps to submit the internal marks of the students, the university releases the results. It is important to note that the release of the results is entirely dependent on the college's action in submitting the internal marks. Therefore, it is crucial that the colleges submit the internal marks on time to avoid any delays in the release of the results.

In conclusion, WH1 is a code that appears on Anna University exam results when the college fails to submit the internal marks of students. The college must take the necessary steps to submit the internal marks, and once they do so, the university releases the results. It is essential for the colleges to submit the internal marks on time to avoid any delay in the release of the results.

How do we calculate Anna University's GPA and CGPA if we have arrears?

SG
Shradhha Gupta Posted On : December 3rd, 2022
B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering & Learning French, Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India

The CGPA and GPA are based solely on the subjects you have completed. If you fail seven out of eight subjects in a semester but receive an "S" on the one you did pass, for instance, you will have a GPA of 10 for that semester. Your GPA and CGPA are updated as you pass each of the courses you failed.

Ignore the subjects you failed; instead, focus on the credits for the ones you passed; multiply those credits by the grade you obtained, and continue adding the values for all the subjects you passed. Divide this figure by the total number of credits earned in the subjects you've completed. This will calculate your GPA. Because the credits for each semester are not the same, you must perform this calculation for all subjects beginning with your first semester to determine your CGPA.

What is the process of challenging the AKTU result?

D
Devesh Posted On : November 7th, 2022
BTech from Institute of Engineering and Technology , Lucknow

Challenging the AKTU result is a hopeless task. This is because the rechecking is very ineffective, late and expensive. You will end up wasting INR 5000 and nothing good comes out of it.

Most of the teachers here do not pay attention to scrutiny and sometimes the declaration of scrutiny results is also delayed.

So it’s recommended you do not waste your efforts, time and money to apply for rechecking.

What is a way to know my old semester marks from Anna University online?

PS
Pratiksha Sen Posted On : December 3rd, 2022
Studied at Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India

From the release of the end-of-semester results until the deadline for applying for re-evaluation and photocopies of the answer sheets, students will have access to the online mark sheet. Check the email sent to your account that is connected to ACOE SEMS if you missed this. You receive a mark sheet in the mail that only includes the grade points—not the attendance rate or assessment scores. If for some reason, the mail wasn't delivered, you can request to see the mark sheet at the ACOE office or from your department's head, who enters the grades for the hard copy, if they are responsible for doing so.

The only other choice is to wait until the end of the following semester when they distribute the hard copies if none of this passes muster. It is suggested that you check your marks within the allotted time and take a screenshot or save the pdf form to prevent such situations.
