Review the hostels at IHM PUSA, New Delhi and can we bring friends (both genders) to our hostel rooms in our free time?

What is the first day like at IHM Pusa? What things are you expected to carry on day 1?
First day at IHM Pusa will be a bit of chaos. On the first day try to dress formally. The faculty will tell you about the college. They will also give a campus tour. Separate mentors will be assigned. Take a pen drive with you. Try to reach the campus as early as possible.
Where do students of IHM Pusa stay if they don't get hostels?
Even if you don’t get hostels, you have various other options like PG, flat, etc. You should look for these options first near Patel Nagar, Shadipur, and Todapur. These places have a wide range of accommodation facilities. You can get a decent flat or a room at a decent price.
On your induction day try to connect with other people and get acquainted. You may find potential roommates. As many people go through a similar problem.
Can I get IHM PUSA with the AIR 260?
Whether or not you will get admission at IHM Pusa with an AIR 260, depends on your category. If you are from SC, ST, or OBC, you should get admission with this rank. However, if you are from the general category, then you may not get admission. In 2021 the required cutoff for general category students was 203 in the third round. But the cutoff changes each year.
Where should I join, IHM Pusa or DIHM Lajpat?
Among IHM Pusa and DIHM Lajpat, the former is definitely better. As it is a central university. India Today 2021 has also ranked IHM Pusa at 1 in India for Hotel Management.
You will get great exposure at IHM Pusa. You will get the chance to work at every hospitality program of any high-profile party and Govt. event. You will also get to attend Tourism awards by the Govt. of India each year.
Is it worth doing M.SC in hospitality administration from IHM Pusa, New Delhi? And what about IHM Lucknow regarding the same?
Yes, doing an M.Sc in Hospitality Administration from IHM Pusa is worth it, if you want to work in sales or want to be a faculty at IHMs. IHM Pusa doesn’t offer HR roles in campus placement. Classes take place regularly at IHM Pusa, which is not the case for other IHMs. The faculties are well-experienced. If you want to pursue the degree, you should prefer IHM Pusa.
I got AIR 105 in NCHMCT. I prefer IHM Bangalore over Pusa, which one do you think is better and why? Would it be a mistake to choose the former?

I am getting CSE in Haldia Institute of Technology and BSc hotel management in IHM Pusa, New Delhi. What should I choose?
My friend chose Haldia Institute of Technology over IHM Pusa because of its popularity. Choosing a college totally depends on you and by far my friend hadn’t regretted choosing it
If the food, the serving technique, and the interaction with the guests seem attractive to you then without any hesitation choose IHM Pusa.
Moreover, IHM Pusa is the best for hotel management but on the other hand, Haldia Institute of Technology is prominent for CSE.
Make a choice wisely and with all your interest so that you don’t regret it later.
Is nchmct compulsory for diploma course in ihm pusa?
No, NCHMCT JEE is not required for IHM Pusa diploma programmes.
Instead of using the NCHMCT JEE entrance exam, IHM Pusa offers merit-based diploma admissions, which are based on your performance in the qualifying exam, typically 10+2 or its equivalent with English as a subject.
The NCHMCT JEE is only required for a few postgraduate programmes and the B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration.
For diploma programmes (such as Food Production, Bakery & Confectionery, and Food & Beverage Service), you must fill out the appropriate application form. Your application will be selected on the basis of merit.
