studied at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar

Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) includes the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), as well as the Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB). In contrast to XUB, which provides a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in subjects like business, law, sustainability, and communication, XIMB, a constituent school of XUB, specializes in management programs.

Despite being independent institutions, XIMB and XUB share a campus as well as some administrative and academic resources. As a result, certain activities and occasions, such as placements, workshops, and seminars, may be frequent.

However, depending on the program and the demands of the recruiters, the placement recruitment procedure for XIMB and XUB is different. The placement procedure is typically coordinated by the relevant schools and is tailored to the particular requirements and preferences of the recruiters.

What is the course structure of MBF at XIM University, Bhubaneshwar?

SM
Shreyatama Mukherjee Posted On : July 8th, 2021
Studied at IIM Calcutta (2019)

One of my friends studied at XIM University. According to him, the best part about pursuing a degree of MBF at XIM would help you tackle any difficulty and overcome it by meeting the demands of the industry. This is how great the academic pattern of MBF is.

  • All the areas that are functional in the Business Finance area include - Corporate Tax Planning, Finance Accounting, Corporate Law, Business Analytics, Financial Modelling, Project Planning, etc.
  • The MBF curriculum covers both the concepts and theories of these functional areas mentioned.
  • The curriculum is updated with recent industry trends.
  • It also works upon seminars, burning issues, managing workshops, and interacting with experts from the particular industry.
  • There are summer internship programs that bring the students on-field to enhance organizational competencies.
  • The numerous courses taught here help the students get a better grip on ideas and various other concepts that are already discussed in the respective classrooms.

The design of this program makes it quite unique. The curriculum is designed in such a way that the industry helps the students get an idea of both- practical and theoretical knowledge so that it helps shape their decision-making and develop analytical skills.

Which one is better in terms of MBA - IBS, Bangalore or Urban Management and Goverance, XIMB ?

AG
Arka Gupta Posted On : April 26th, 2022
MBA Rural Management, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (2020)

Urban Management and Governance XUMG will be better. You may feel this is a course meant for the future, but the future is here, by all means. Metro cities of our country like Delhi and Mumbai are crumbling under the pressure of their weight. Expertise in this field will provide your CV an edge over most run-of-the-mill MBA degrees. It is a sunrise sector, but the demand for talent in this sector is skyrocketing.

The first batch of XUMG UM&G graduated in 2018. The average CTC for the branch was INR 6-7 LPA. Students of UM&G do summer internships in companies like Ernst &Young, CRISIL, GIZ, Spectrum Technologies, etc. After completing this course you can expect to get recruited by consulting firms, Urban Development Authorities, NGOs, various Govt. departments, UN Organizations, Infrastructure Development companies, and International Development agencies.

Having an advanced degree in a niche field like this will put you ahead of the exact same MBA resumes, that companies receive these days.
