The hostel facilities are pretty good at AIIMS Rishikesh. First-year students are provided with double sharing rooms. The room will have a bed, a study table, an extra table, a bookshelf, and a big cupboard.
AIIMS Rishikesh hostel rooms are spacious. Rooms and washrooms are cleaned regularly. Electricity is available 24*7. Other facilities of the hostel include washing machines, treadmills, and cycling machines.
The hostel warden and staff are cooperating. You can go to them, with any problem you face.
What should I opt for if I am eligible for both AIIMS Patna or AIIMS Rishikesh?
You should opt for AIIMS Rishikesh. It is more developed and offers better infrastructure. It runs super specialty courses. AIIMS Rishikesh also has a better faculty base compared to AIIMS Patna. It has a fully functional hospital with 24*7 emergency, more than 26 operation theaters, CCU, ICU, and NICU. Also, it has 3000+ opd.
Among all peripheral AIIMS, AIIMS Rishikesh has the highest number of PG seats.
Which is better, AIIMS Jodhpur or Rishikesh?
AIIMS Jodhpur is better than AIIMS Rishikesh if you are looking for PG degree. It offers more seats for PG programs. There are 103 seats at AIIMS Jodhpur while AIIMS Rishikesh has 74 seats.
In terms of faculty and patient load too, AIIMS Jodhpur is better. You will be offered good lab facilities. The labs are well-maintained and equipped with the latest instruments.
Every student gets single room accommodation in the hostel. The mess facilities and food quality are better than any other medical college.

Most of the students prefer AIIMS Rishikesh over other AIIMS because of its location. It is a very peaceful place, appropriate for an educational institution.
AIIMS Rishikesh is also known to offer the best facilities for the students. The course curriculum and overall academics are more or less the same in every AIIMS. But One thing that makes it stand out among the others is the professional exam conducted by them for the students. These tests are in the form of MCQs, which is an Objective paper.

If you get a choice between MAMC and AIIMS Rishikesh which one will you choose?
The choices you have right now are somewhat very closely related to what my brother’s choices were very recently in his career. Thus, here is a thorough insight about what my brother mentions,
- AIIMS Rishikesh, although still being under acute construction, is following the steps of development until today.
- While, on the other hand, MAMC is a rather well-established medical college, holding a top rank.
- The structure and cultural advancement of the college have witnessed heavy developments.
- MAMAC has conducted several conferences and is one of the major hubs for industrial training.
- The institute does not limit education to medicine, but also teaches communication skills, and what it takes to be a fruitful doctor, via major workshops, lectures, etc.
- The same opportunities are quite limited if talking about AIIMS Rishikesh.
Here are some major benefits MAMC provides, which other institutes do not,
- Situated in the center of Delhi, it offers exposure to students, partially also helping patients reach their steps before they go to any other hospitalized institutes.
- If a student is based in Delhi itself, then they can quite naturally enjoy the Delhi quota, which includes 50% of the reservation in Delhi colleges, further for the PG seats.
- AIIMS does not provide any facilities like the aforementioned, so it is a good idea to choose the former.
The only major advantage AIIMS Rishikesh enjoys over MAMC is the tag it has, which the latter does not have. So choose wisely.
What are the rules of AIIMS hostel in Rishikesh?
AIIMS Rishikesh is known for its rigid and disciplined college environment.
- The hostel rules are very strict and both boys and girls have to report to the hostel by 10 pm.
- The rules are even more rigid for girls as they are a lot of restrictions on girls' dress code also.
- Taking a leave for going home is a very difficult task here as you have to go through tedious procedures before your vacation is approved. You will have to fill out an application and get it signed by your provost, followed by the signature of the Dean. Finally, you need to inform your warden and make her talk to your parents as a sign of approval.
- You are not allowed to bring your own vehicles and birthday celebrations are also not allowed.
These are some illogical rules implemented by AIIMS Rishikesh. These rules implemented by the administration cause a lot of frustration. The students are not treated decently and AIIMS Rishikesh lacks the true essence of college life
Will it be a right decision to leave AIIMS Patna for AIIMS Rishikesh or Raipur considering the current scenario?
I am a student at AIIMS Raipur, so I will try sharing some advantages of joining my institution.
I wouldn’t recommend AIIMS Rishikesh over Patna or Raipur. The only favorable thing in regard to AIIMS Rishikesh is that it is located in the lap of nature. But over the years, its hype has somewhat died down partially because of constant issues with the administration. Also, the other AIIMS have seen an increase in their PG seats. AIIMS Patna and Raipur have excelled in other areas, and made up for their lack in terms of location.
The main hospital building of AIIMS Raipur was recently completed, and all the major departments have been shifted in the same. The faculty at AIIMS Raipur is as good as any other AIIMS, and academic excellence is given utmost priority. The attendance system is a bit strict, but it is totally up to the AIIMS standards.
The Trauma and Emergency is top notch at AIIMS Rishikesh, but that is of less importance for an MBBS student. The patient load has increased at AIIMS Raipur over the years. The students of AIIMS Raipur can join various cultural, literary and sports clubs. This helps in overall development and extracurricular achievement.
Thus, I would recommend AIIMS Raipur as a good institution for an MBBS, but even AIIMS Patna is a good choice.
