Sant Gadge Baba Amravti University(AGBAU) is an average university in Maharastra. Colleges such as Prof. Ram Meghe Institute of Technology and Research and Shegaon College of Engineering have a good reputation and offer decent placement offers.

If you have better PET results or JEE scores, you can get better options than SGBAU.

What are the views of IIT-BHU students about Kashi Utkarsh?

NT
Nivedita Trivedi Posted On : July 17th, 2023
Lives in Varanasi

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.

As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.

However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.

If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.

The faculty members are incredible and helpful. They are always ready to guide you. You should not let rumors mislead you.

What is best summer training institute in Jaipur?

SG
Shalini Guha Posted On : August 14th, 2020
Studies Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering at Banasthali University (2022)

There can be various factors that can affect the answer to this question but here I’ll be answering this question referring to college students or anyone that want to learn some extra skill during their free time. There are many institutes that provide both online and offline training to the students. So at first, it’s your choice to choose what kind of training will be suitable for you according to your needs.

Here are a few institutes that you can refer to for summer training in Jaipur.

  1. Edu4sure: It is a Delhi based startup that provides training in various technologies such as Machine Learning, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, etc. The training here is provided by industry experts so that the trainees can get a gist of the industrial and corporate environment.
  2. Techienest: They launch their special training programs during summer namely Summer Industrial Training Programs (SIPL) during summers. During these programs, they provide training for almost all technologies such as Machine Learning, Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Python, Java, etc. They also conduct informative workshops for college students on various topics so that they can get to know about the aspects regarding their training programs also. The trainers are also experienced in addition to low student-trainer ratio (around 1:18) which is also a positive aspect of the institute. Finally, they also take care of the equipment requirement of the students and also provide the soft copies of the study material along with the material taught which is also a plus.
  3. Foxangle: This is also among one of the leading training institutes in Jaipur that provides project-oriented training programs related to the field of computer science and information technology. It offers training programs in technologies such as Website designing, web development (Java, PHP, .Net), iOS development, android development, Digital Marketing (SEO, SEM, SMO), etc. The certification of training and the internship letter here is provided by Appenics Technologies Pvt Ltd which is a mobile and web development company. They have decent lab facilities, provides lifetime support card and follows live project-based training methods. They also provide help to their students for the preparation of certification exams such as AWS etc. along with providing assistance in resume creation, interview preparations with their personality development sessions.

Apart from these, there are many other institutes such as Grras Solutions, Forks coding school, etc. that can be referred. Hence eventually it is your choice which institute or which course you choose for your summer training. Internships and training both can play a major role in advancing one’s career so the decisions regarding this should be taken with both caution and concern.

Can you give a brief description of IIM Sambalpur (pros/cons, campus life, placement, hostel life, faculty, facilities, and anything else that you can add on)?

RD
Ridhhi Dogra Posted On : February 10th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur

In the middle of picturesque hilltops in Odisha, IIM Sambalpur is situated. Here, you can wake up to beautiful sunshine and humid weather every morning, which will give you energy. However, this morning brings with it a rush to finish eating breakfast and get to the academic block in time for your classes.

The Academic block is a short walk from the Hostel blocks. Our classrooms are fully equipped with air conditioning, comfortable seating, and modern equipment. We have experienced faculty from a variety of backgrounds, both in-house and visiting institutes such as IIM A, B, C, XLRI, and others.

After classes, your day spins around in all directions. In the evening, you typically attend meetings and enjoyable events from various clubs and committees that are put on by students. If you don't have anything like that, you can go out with your friends to the Hirakud dam, Right dyke, or take a long drive all the way to the main city for fun. You can also participate in those based on your interests, hobbies, or preferences for volunteer work.

Following dinner, some students participate in outdoor sports such as badminton, cricket, football, and so on, or indoor sports such as chess and table tennis, or watch television in the common room. You meet your academic groups, project groups, and so on to do the work, which usually takes most of the nights in the hostel block's discussion areas.

However, these moments of shared work always strengthen batchmates' bonds. Some of the pros and cons are mentioned below:

Pros:

  • IIM Sambalpur is located close to a large number of big industries, providing opportunities for real-life experiential learning for students.
  • The Innovation and Incubation Cell (IIC) of IIM Sambalpur helps in the promotion of startup development and has recently partnered with Flipkart to support small weavers and artisans.
  • As a new IIM, students have the opportunity to witness the development of the institute from its core.
  • IIM Sambalpur has consistently been ranked 2nd amongst the new IIMs and holds a position among the Top 30 in the overall MBA Universe Ranking 2022.
  • The institute follows a Flipped Classroom methodology, which is a unique concept aimed at promoting overall development both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • IIM Sambalpur has the highest gender diversity among all other 3rd generation IIMs.
  • The location of the institute is away from the hustle and bustle of metropolitan areas, providing a peaceful and calm environment amidst the rush of MBA life.
  • The IIM tag and connections to IIM alumni in the IIM community can provide valuable networking opportunities.

Cons:

  • As a 3rd generation IIM, the institute is relatively new and may take some time to fully develop.
  • The institute follows a schedule with working days on Saturday and Sunday, which may not be suitable for all students.
  • Students may be compared to graduates of older and more established IIMs, which may be an unnecessary source of stress.

How is your review of Big Data Analytics from IIM Lucknow?

RT
Rajat Tokas Posted On : January 16th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow

It is true that IIM Lucknow, like many other premier business schools in India, does not have a specific focus on Big Data Analytics. However, it is important to note that this does not necessarily mean that there is no association between IIM Lucknow and Big Data Analytics.

While it is true that IIMs primarily focuses on providing students with a strong foundation in managerial skills, the reality is that the business world is constantly evolving, and new technologies and trends are emerging all the time. Big Data Analytics is one such trend that has gained significant prominence in recent years, and it is a skill that is becoming increasingly important for managers to possess.

It is also worth noting that while IIMs may not have specific courses or programs dedicated to Big Data Analytics, they do offer IT specialization options. These programs may not specifically cover big data, but they do provide students with a solid foundation in IT and technology, which can be beneficial when it comes to understanding and working with big data.

Furthermore, it is not entirely accurate to say that any business school will teach you that having a solid understanding of Excel is all you need. While Excel is an important tool for data analysis and management, it is not the only tool or skill required for working with big data. In fact, big data analytics typically involves working with large sets of data that are too complex to be handled by Excel and requires specialized software and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Python.

In conclusion, while IIM Lucknow and other IIMs may not have a specific focus on big data analytics, this does not mean that they do not provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to work with it. The management skills taught in these institutes along with IT and technology specialization options can be a good foundation to understand and work with it. Additionally, it is a rapidly evolving field and it's important for students to keep updating their skills and knowledge.

I have 2 years of work experience and I have got admission to IBS Hyderabad. Should I join? Is it good?

SL
Saija Luthra Posted On : February 24th, 2023
Studied at IBS Hyderabad

To make an informed decision, you need to analyze your future prospects. Consider where you see yourself two years from now, or, if money is a primary concern for you, estimate how much you will earn in two years.

The average package offered by IBS Hyderabad is 6 lakhs. However, if you have a couple of years of experience and are in the top 10th percentile of your batch, there is a good chance you could earn 7-8 lakhs. In this case, enrolling in IBS Hyderabad would be a viable option if you don't see yourself earning a similar salary within two years.

Furthermore, you should evaluate your ability to gain admission to a better business school such as an IIM. If you have the potential to do so, it would be a wise decision to invest your efforts into pursuing this opportunity. However, if you really believe that you are not in that league, enrolling in IBS Hyderabad would still be a viable option, as discussed in the second paragraph.

Is mechanical and electronics in NIT Jalandhar as good as CS in the same college?

S
Sagardeep Posted On : December 19th, 2022
Studied at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar ( NITJ )

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.

Is it good to take PG in NICMAR?

SR
Sheeja Roy Posted On : October 25th, 2021
studied at National Institute of Construction Management and Research, Pune

I have a few friends who graduated from NICMAR. Their experience with the institute has not been that good. Here are some of the things that they complain about.

  • NICMAR has increased the student intake following which the placement opportunities have become fewer in number. According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered to the students is 6 LPA.
  • The selection process for admission is too easy. Almost anyone can get through the interview process.
  • The placement process is not effective. The placement committee is composed of students, who often act biased.

So, consider all these factors before you decide to pursue your PG from NICMAR.
