IIIT Delhi is better for CSE. It is an excellent option for CSE. The department has an excellent faculty base. IIIT Delhi has an active coding culture. If you are interested in coding, you will love being on campus.
The institute has an impressive placement record. IIIT Delhi placements 2022 concluded with an average package of INR 19.76 LPA.
Is it wise to leave IIT Delhi for CSE in IIIT Hyderabad?
I am assuming that you got CSE at IIT Delhi. As per my research, for CSE, IIIT Hyderabad is at par with the top 5 IITs in this field (Madras, Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, and Kharagpur). According to the three possibilities listed below, choose the right college for your B.Tech CSE-
- You are passionate about CSE and care in the least for brand name and course fee- In this case, choose IIIT Hyderabad. Its coding culture is one of the best in India and is praised by even the IITians. The results of ACM-ICPC and GSoC selections from IIIT Hyderabad are a proof of the same.
- You are not as passionate about CSE, and course fee and brand name are more important for you- In this case, choose one among the top 5 IITs because they have a smaller course fee for CSE and carry the IIT tag.
- You love CSE but are also worried about the fee and brand name- In this case too, I would suggest you choose one among the top 5 IITs, not because of quality education, placements and research opportunities, all of which you will also get at IIIT H, but for the IIT tag.
As far as CSE placements are concerned, they are as good at IIIT H, as any IIT. At IIIT H, you are sure to get placed in a tech profile. A good number of tech companies visit the IIIT H campus for placements, at par with the top IITs.
Thus, based on your personal preference you can choose between IIT Delhi and IIIT Hyderabad for your CSE.
Which college is better for CS, IIT Kanpur or IIIT Hyderabad?

Which college should I go SRM or NMIMS for CSE?
For CSE, SRM is the better option. The academics, campus life, and facilities offered are good. Major recruiting companies such as Amazon, Honda, Cognizant, etc. recruit through the campus drive. Thapar University has 670 seats for CSE students. Does this affect placements, because after seeing the number of CSE seats, I'm a bit tensed to join Thapar University?
Yes, the huge batch size can be concerning. Without a doubt, I can say that if you are good at coding and you are really passionate about it then the college doesn't matter much because there are many good online courses and competitions available to prove your skills.

In terms of placements, you will be placed, but not in the companies you desire. Metallurgical engineering clearly outperforms the competition. To be honest, production and chemicals are not great, but it also depends on the person, as I have seen my seniors from these branches get placements in Vedanta and Tata with good salary packages.
Which is better, BITS Goa CS or Hyderabad CS?
BITS Hyderabad CS is a better option. Although BITS Goa is older, the CS program on the Hyderabad campus went through rapid growth in a very short time. The reason can be ascribed to the location advantage. Hyderabad is a cybercity, so it's easier for students to get projects, internships, and placement opportunities.
The 2022 statistics of BITS Hyderabad placements show the average CTC for CS to be around INR 22 LPA. The highest CTC offered for CS, this year was INR 43 LPA. MNCs like Apple, Google, Amazon, Adobe, etc. visit the placement drive of BITS Hyderabad regularly.
Average placements at IIIT Bangalore stands at around 24lpa, is it worth leaving top NITs for an Mtech CSE at IIIT Bangalore?
IIIT Bangalore is at par with top NITs at least in terms of placement scenario of its MTech CSE course. But the question is, are good placements enough to choose a college? Here are a few factors to consider while choosing between top NITs and IIIT Bangalore.

I feel the primary point of difference between NITs and IIIT Bangalore is that NITs mostly focus on placements at the undergraduate level. IIIT Bangalore's main focus has been providing quality education at the master's and doctorate levels. Still, to answer your question, IIIT Bangalore is better than top NITs in almost all aspects.
How is 5 years CSE dual degree in IIT Kharagpur in comparison to IIT Roorkee CSE?
My answer might contrast with the opinion of many. Most people go after IIT Roorkee dual degree and consider it a highly esteemed program. In my opinion, the dual degree itself is not a very good option although IIT Roorkee is an excellent institute.
People forget that recruiters do not consider 4-year or 5-year degree holders any differently and offer them similar profiles. In Fact, some recruiters even consider you inferior to BTech students. Moreover, unlike others getting PPOs a dual degree student is not allowed to even sit in the interviews during this time because you won’t be able to join for at least 2 more years.
Academically, both B.Tech and Dual degrees are similar and the 5th year usually comprises project work and wasting time. When it’s time for interviews you are made to sit with juniors and that lowers your confidence all the more. Moreover, if you are planning to attempt CAT or UPSC, this degree is useless. The only advantage probably is the additional one-year college life experience.
