Actually, BHU also provides a regular B.Pharm course and a B.Pharm with a specialization in Ayurveda.

If you are interested in contemporary pharmacy, BHU also has a 4-year regular B.Pharm course in allopathic pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, etc. Admission is generally through NEET or other entrance exams.

However, BHU also provides a special B.Pharm (Ayurveda) course that deals with Ayurvedic medicines, herbal preparations, and the principles of traditional pharmacology. The process of admission to this course is carried out through a separate entrance examination.

3. IIT BHU is a government institute, while Thapar is a private institute. Because of this, IIT BHU is much more affordable.  
4. IIT BHU has some of the best faculties in all its departments. Here are some well-known faculty members from the Ceramic Department of IIT BHU- Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Dubey (HOD), Prof. Vijay Kumar Singh (Associate Professor), Dr. Manas Ranjan. 
5. IIT BHU has a stronger, more extensive alumni network. This is because it was founded way back in 1919.

Ceramic Engineering at IIT BHU is a great option if you wish to study in a renowned university with good funding and top faculty. Even in terms of placements, IIT BHU has an edge over Thapar University.

I am a B.Tech student at IIT BHU. According to me, our institution is better than IIT Dhanbad in several aspects. Here are some of them-
