Where should I pursue my Computer Science course, Thapar University or Manipal University?
My brother did his MBA from Manipal University and it has been one of the best decisions of his life. While both are prime universities, Manipal holds an edge due to the following reasons.

What is the better option if money is not a problem, Thapar NIT Rourkela or BIT Mesra?
Having friends studying in all of these universities, I can say that they all are some of the most prestigious colleges in India. However, if you have to choose the best, go with NIT Rourkela without a second thought. Here’s why:
- According to the NIRF ranking of 2021, NIT Rourkela secured 16th position among the best engineering colleges in India and 2nd among the NITs. Thapar University and BIT Mesra were placed at 29th and 38th positions respectively.

To which tier does Thapar University belong to??
Thapar University is a tier-1 university. It is among the best private institute in the region and usually ranks right after BITS Pilani. Students prefer Thapar for its excellent placement record and facilities.
Thapar University placement 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 40 LPA. The average CTC for this year was INR 10.97 LPA.
Is IIIT Una better than Thapar Institute Patiala?
Thapar institute has been established way before IIIT Una and over this period of time has created a great alumni network working at different positions worldwide. The faculty in Thapar Currently has over 20+ years of experience and is well known among the students.
On the other hand, IIIT Una is a newly established IIIT and the problem with this is that it still does not even have its own campus. IIIT Una is operating under NIT Hamirpur; this leads to the problem of no classes to fit all these students of both different Universities together. The classes get clashed, labs are not enough and faculty has a hard time coping up. This creates chaos on campus, which results in lower placement.

Which is better for a B.Tech: Punjab University or Thapar University?
A few of my friends graduated from both the mentioned institutes and here are some insights regarding the institutes, based on their experience.
If you can afford the fee structure of Thapar university then surely go for it. Also, if you have a good rank then you must try other central government colleges of engineering in Punjab i.e NIT Jalandhar as well SLIET Longowal in district Sangrur, Punjab.

What are the B.Tech timings at Thapar University?
The college hours are mostly 8 am to 5 pm. But the timing depends on the schedule of the batch. The new batches have some additional subjects which are held and these often go up till 6 or 7 pm. The batches with electives may be held after 5 pm.
You will get an hour or two for lunch breaks in between when classes run till late. But this schedule is not regular as some days, the classes may be from 8 am-1 pm or 10 am-3 pm, thus it all depends on their class schedule. If the student needs to go out of campus, they must report back to the campus before 7 pm.

How is the campus life at Thapar University?
Annual cultural fest Saturnalia- it is fest where people from different colleges gather and enjoy to fullest + a singer is invited every year for enjoyment Other fest like thapar food fest , urja mudra nights are equally enjoyable Many societies also organise many events throughout the year
How are the hostels at Thapar University?
The hostel faculty is good and hostels are build very good overall infrastructure of hostel is very good and mess food is also great. The registration process for hostel is easy and is told to you on allocation day
