Which is better, IIT Roorkee or IIT Mumbai?
To draw a better comparison, let’s differentiate IIT Roorkee and IIT Mumbai on the basis of branches
CSE- On the basis of the research output, location, and popularity, Mumbai is the winner in this case while Roorkee stands in 4 or 5 positions.
ECE/Communications/Signal Processing: IIT Roorkee and KGP are the most preferred IITs. But considering the job opportunities, IIT Mumbai is again a winner.
EE: IIT Delhi's Electrical Engineering is considered the best-rank department internationally among other IITs. Mumbai and Roorkee are equally good but IIT Bombay again is slightly at an advantage.
Mechanical: Madras and Mumbai are the best. Roorkee is also decent but yet not at par with IIT Bombay standards.

How is life as a medico at KGMU, Lucknow?
Life as a medico at KGMU Lucknow is very vibrant and unexpectedly fun. You will enjoy your time here thoroughly and create some amazing memories.
- Campus : The white building is beautiful and charming. You will be in awe of the beauty of the campus. It's safe to say that KGMU is the most beautiful medical college.
- Lecture theatres : The lecture halls are fully air-conditioned and you grow attached to them. The favorable learning experience is also why the students have a good attendance record.
- Hostels : Boys are allotted double occupancy rooms in the NCV hall during 1st year while girls are allotted triple occupancy rooms in the VL hall. The mess food is average like any other college.
- College life : There are a lot of restrictions during the initial months and you might feel disappointed. But after a few months, things get better and you are given freedom considerably. They are made to attend various conferences held in KGMU. The campus life is made more vibrant by events like Sports Week. There is a huge SP Ground for cricket, basketball, football, Holi Celebration, etc
- Outside the campus, there are many places to explore. There are many restaurants, cafes, lounges, clubs, and malls in Lucknow. Additionally, KGMU has the best clinics due to the huge patient load. It has the biggest museum in the Anatomy Department in the country.
So life here is very dynamic and fun!

ROI: IIT KGP MBA fees are around 9 Lakhs and are lesser in comparison to top B Schools. Therefore the ROI is also higher.
Infrastructure: IIT Kharagpur boasts top-notch infrastructure, with excellent amenities like sports facilities, a gymnasium, a big library, and a huge campus.
Industry relevance: Most professors conduct research/ consulting work for corporations, so you can get their help during live projects or Internship hunting.

Survival at KIIT can be judged on the basis of many criteria such as hostel life, campus life, or academics. Consider the following
Initially, the hostel life at KIIT is 6/10 in terms of hardship for survival. In the starting, you have to be punctual and check in at the hostel on time. But once the fresher party is done, you live a considerably free hostel life. There are no major restrictions and every query is taken care of at the reception area.
Campus life: KIIT has one of the most dynamic and vibrant campus life. You don’t have to follow many rules and are a free bird here. A number of societies promote extracurricular activities so make sure to enroll and pursue your passion.
Academic life: The difficulty of academic life varies from individual to individual but on average, it can be rated as 4/10. Attending classes regularly and doing frequent revisions can help you score good marks without any extra effort.
Exams: Sadly, KIIT does not conduct very challenging exams and you can score good marks just by solving the previous year's papers and attending classes regularly.
Lab sessions: The lab sessions are very easy provided that you are interested in them.
So, it can be safely concluded that it’s pretty easy to survive at KIIT. All you need is a positive and consistent attitude.
How is the institute NIT Jalandhar? What are the good and bad things about it?

Why is IIM Kashipur the least preferred IIM among the new ones?
Honestly, I wouldn’t call IIM Kashipur the least preferred but the most underrated IIM. It’s at par with all the IIMs with respect to placements, infrastructure, faculty, student-teacher ratio, and rigor. Yet it’s highly underestimated owing to its single disadvantage of location.
IIMs welcome students from all over India. But the students from South or North-East India find it rather difficult to first travel to Delhi and then travel by Road or Rail to Kashipur. They prefer their comfort over anything.
The other reason is that most IIMs have been able to establish a uniqueness about themselves. IIM Kashipur lacks in this aspect. IIM Rohtak is the oldest and closest to NCR, IIM Udaipur attracts students based on MHRD ratings, IIM Trichy made itself known as a CFA Recognised Institute under the Institute University Recognition Programme and IIM Ranchi has the best placement opportunities. IIM Kashipur has failed to market itself on a particular aspect and thus is underestimated.
How is IITK (IIT Kanpur) different from IITB (IIT Bombay)?
- After IITKGP, IIT Kanpur has the biggest campus in India, approximately 1100 Acres. IIT Bombay on the other hand is half the size of IIT Kanpur around 560 Acres.
- IIT Kanpur is the only institute in India to have its own Airstrip, Hangar, Glider pilot licensing system, and National Wind Tunnel Facility.
- The huge Open Air Theatre has the capacity to accommodate 3000 people at a time.
- World-class sports facilities.
- The problems of the students are catered to by the largest counseling service.
IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay are not even comparable given the advantages IIT Kanpur has over IITB.
How are North Eastern NITs?
Some of the north-eastern NITs are excellent in terms of quality of education and facilities offered such as NIT Silchar, and NIT Agartala. Academics at these NITs can be compared to old NITs such as Durgapur, Kurukshetra, and Raipur.
The rest of the north-eastern NITs are still in the developing period and ranked below the old NITs.

NSIT Branch change Rules
Branch change in NSIT happens after 1st semester. NSUT has unique criteria regarding branch change. If there are vacant seats in the branch of your higher preference(as filled during the choice-filling procedure of JAC Delhi) and your JEE rank is better than other students who applied for branch change, then your branch changed automatically after the first semester. However, if you have filled out the branch freezing form at the time of admission or students who got admission during the spot round cannot change their branch.
DTU branch change
DTU has no branch change policy. In rare cases, if someone from a higher cutoff branch withdraws his admission after the spot round then the seat is filled by those who opted for that branch and not froze their current branch. The chances are almost low though.
