Which one is better IGNOU or SOL?
IGNOU is believed to be better than SOL in so many ways. Some of them are mentioned below:

- BITS Pilani MBA has three Semesters of rigorous on-campus training coupled with an option of either 6 months’ exposure to the industry through a structured Paid Internship (Practice School) or a Dissertation. So you gain work experience alongside studying.
- The students are allowed to sit for university placements and thus the placements have improved tremendously The highest salary of the 2021-2023 batch was INR 22 LPA and the average package was recorded at INR 15.9 LPA. Some of the top recruiters at BITS Pilani include Accenture, Cognizant, Toyota, Bombardier, Maybank, Zomato, HolidayIQ, KPMG, IndiaMART, etc
- The low batch strength ensures individual attention to all students.
Cons:
- The program is less popular among MBA aspirants
- The faculty pool is small and more professors are needed to handle the program well.
- The institute faces a location disadvantage.
- The program is not suitable for those with work experience of more than 3-4 years.
- Needs to add more electives to ensure flexibility in the curriculum.
Overall, the program is a good choice for freshers but not for experienced professionals.
What is the process of getting an original IGNOU degree certificate?
The procedure is extremely simple. Obtain admission, complete assignments, and register for the exam at the desired exam center. After passing the exams, which can take between three and six years. Following that, you will be given a mark sheet and a provisional certificate. To obtain an original degree, you must wait at least six to twelve months for the convocation to be held by IGNOU, and you must pay a nominal fee of Rs 600-900 for registration and certificate.
If you are unable to attend the convocation, your certificate will be mailed to your home address.
If your degree certificate was not delivered to your home, no worries. Simply go to the IGNOU office in Maidan Garhi, Delhi, and show your university-issued ID card to obtain your degree certificate. They will verify your information and issue your degree certificate. However, you will be required to pay convocation fees.
What are some tips for scoring high marks in VTU?
The trick for scoring well in VTU is simple. You should choose 5 units and go through them thoroughly. Don’t skip any topics from these units. You can keep the last unit optional. Solve the previous 5 years' questions. However, don’t rely on these papers alone.
Take all three internals and don’t take the third internal lightly. It will prepare you for the external. Try to score well in practicals. In the examination, present your answer in an effective way.
How was your first day at AIIMS Delhi?
My friend shared her first-day experience at AIIMS Delhi which came out to be extremely unexpected and weird. She reached her department (surgery) and the professors briefly introduced the field. A professor guided the students throughout the campus. He enquired about their accommodation and told them they have to stay at the hospital 24/7.
He went on to tell how hectic their lives are about to become and there will be days they won't be able to get any sleep or food. He advised the students to always carry their food and stay hydrated.
He told them about the AST or the AIIMS Standard Time which is 15 minutes ahead of the entire world. He further directed the students to the Ward and introduced them to the Senior Resident. On reaching the ward, 3 seniors were assigned to the group to guide them further. The students were assigned work that continued till evening.
My friend's roommate asked him if he wanted to join him for a campus tour to which he eagerly agreed. The walk through the campus was never ending as there were so many things to see. They spotted a barber salon on the campus and a coffee spot. There was also a 24/7 library and a late-night ice cream tuckshop.
Overall first day at AIIMS is unpredictable with a lot of surprises that might leave you anxious. But the excitement of making it into the dream college overshadows all such anxieties!
How is college life in IIT kharagpur?
There are a number of things that distinguish IIT Kharagpur from other IITs. My answer entails such attributes only.
- Movies at subsidized rates: There are only 2 cinemas in the whole of Kharagpur, the better one obviously being inside the campus. As a result, many district people come and the fee is INR 100/- semester irrespective of how many movies you watch. This crazy deal attracts many.
- Fastest and unlimited DC++: This is a software that allows sharing of files over LAN. This amazing software makes it possible for you to download a file faster than copying it from someone. A variety of things can be downloaded like books, question papers, software, games, movies, TV Series, etc. There are no download limits too unlike some other IITs.
- Illumination: This is a unique phenomenon one can witness in IIT KGP during Diwali. Each of the 20 hostels participates in a competition wherein the students of that hostel have to portray a scene/message using Diyas. Rangoli was also made in this competition.
- Bond with seniors: IIT KGP has a harmonious ambiance and seniors are extremely friendly and approachable. There is this trend wherein seniors write to their juniors about how they feel, and any advice on scrapbooks, chart sheets, etc.
- Night routine: The students have crazy sleeping habits with some of them only sleeping for an hour or two at around 7 am only to wake up at 8:5O to rush to classes.
- Mess Food. The food, especially North Indian food is decent and not like that served in IIT MG or IITM. The quality of the food has seen a steady improvement with a 4 meal plan per day. The mess serves Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, and Dinner.
- Canteen: IIT KGP has 20 hostels (14 boys, 6 girls) and every hostel has its own canteen which runs from 3-4 AM every day. Some halls even serve their own specialty.
- College Fests: A number of cultural and technical fests are held at IIT KGP. Spring Fest is the Cultural Fest of IIT Kharagpur which is the biggest festival in eastern India whereas Kshitij is the Technical Fest of IIT Kharagpur, Asia’s Largest Technological-Management Fest.
- Eateries: Inside IIT KGP you can find Subway, CCD, Rooster, and Baskin Robbins offering food at affordable prices whereas outside you can find Dominos Pizza and a restaurant Flavors.
Life at IIT KGP is filled with fun and exciting activities.
What is the difference between BE and B.Tech?
The fundamental difference between BE and BTech is the way these courses are delivered. Contrary to the popular misconception, BE isn’t just theory oriented. Both BE and BTech coursework includes theory as well as practicals. But a BTech offers a more in-depth and advanced level study of a particular field. While BE covers the fundaments.
There are no such differences between BE and BTech, other than the course pattern. These two courses are considered equivalent. In terms of preference, your institute will matter more compared to your degree. IIT students certainly enjoy some advantages in terms of placements and higher studies.
How does the distance education through IGNOU work? How is the submission of assignments done and how are the semester and exams conducted?
Here is the process:
a) Complete the online form.
b) Make a fee payment online.
c) You will be assigned to a study center based on your preferences and availability.
d) Your ID card and books will be mailed to you.
e) Attending classes is not required. Weekend and holiday classes are available.
f) You must submit your assignments to your study center. You can prepare your assignments using the IGNOU materials.
g) Then you must complete the exam forms for the subjects for which you wish to write the exams. You may enter any number for that specific year. The minimum period for a Masters's degree is two years, and the maximum period is five years.
h) Take the exam and find out the results.
i) Repeat the process the following year.
The process is very simple once you understand it effectively.

The pros and cons of the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) are as follows.
Pros:

Location: NITIE Mumbai is located in the industrial hub of the country, Mumbai. This provides the students with a lot of options to explore and learn.

Alumni base: Like other famous B-schools like IIM A, B, C, FMS, XLRI, etc, NITIE, too, has a strong alumni background with students working worldwide. A large number of NITIE alumni are VPs, CXOs and even some are owners of their own start-ups with great ideas. The alumni of the institute visit the campus often for alumni talks.

B-School Challenges: NITIE students are well known for their participation in B-school challenges. In the past, students have participated in competitions like HUL Lime, ITC InterroBang, DCB, Aviva, etc. The success rate of NITIE students in these sorts of competitions is pretty high and it becomes an interesting learning experience.

Peer-Group: Anyone joining NITIE is surrounded by experienced people in-between the age group of 21-29. Which gives an opportunity for good peer-learning as many students have experience in the industry.

Placement: The placement rate of the institute is 100% with an average CTC around 20 LPA. It is somewhat considered as the most recognized B-school for Supply Chain and Operations. Even IT placements have seen a surge in recent years.

There is a lack of diversity in NITIE and most of the students are engineers. Also, there is high gender diversity, around 8-10% of girls opt for a management degree in NITIE.

The brand-name of NITIE is not as reputed as IIMs, XLRI, etc, and the brand recognition is limited to the corporate world.
