What is the average pay package for BITS Goa CSE?
According to the placement reports of BITS Goa, the average annual package for the B.E. Computer Science and M.Sc. Computer Science students was around 13-15 lakhs per annum for the year 2021. You can expect a huge list of companies to come to your campus, including top names such as Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Apple, and Google.
It's worth noting that salary should not be the only factor considered when evaluating job opportunities; factors like work-life balance, company culture, and growth potential can be equally important.
Which is better: CSE at the MNNIT, Allahabad or IT at the IIIT, Allahabad?
I am a student at IIIT Allahabad. Here are a few parameters to compare these two options-
- Curriculum- The IT curriculum at IIIT Allahabad is better than the CSE curriculum at MNNIT.
- Study Environment- IIITA offers the best environment for studies. Its students are top coders at platforms like CodeChef, HackerEarth and HackerRank. Students of IIITA start working on projects from their 2nd year itself.
- Placements- IIITA offers better placements than MNNIT. Top brands like Google visit the IIIT campus every year to recruit students.
MNNIT is a good college, but IIIT Allahabad offers top notch facilities and opportunities. I would recommend you choose IT at IIIT Allahabad over CSE at MNNIT.
Which one is better: HBTI Kanpur (IT) or IET Lucknow (CSE)?
HBTI IT will be better than IET Lucknow CSE. It offers better placements. All the companies that visit HBTI campus to recruit students from CSE, also allow students from IT branch to sit for placements. Here are the recent highlights of HBTI placements.

Why is IIT Bombay electrical better than IIT Delhi CS?
I am a third-year BTech student at IIT Bombay. According to me, IIT Bombay electrical is a better choice than IIT Delhi CS. Both the institutes are highly reputed for their engineering programs, and they keep switching places in the NIRF Ranking with the change of year.
But the placements at IIT Bombay are better statistically. Moreover, IIT Bombay is located in the Financial Capital of India, with easier access to IT cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

I am joining IIIT Ranchi (CSE). Is it a good decision?
IIIT Ranchi is a sort of independent now, and the institute has developed a fantastic coding culture. From open source to competitive coding, the environment is one of the best in Jharkhand, despite the fact that Jharkhand lacks many top-tier institutes. The institute is very flexible in terms of how education should be delivered.
You can hone your coding skills and find a good job here. Even during the pandemic, a student received more than a 20 LPA package in campus placement, which will undoubtedly improve over their tenure.
Out of the 103 students who participated in the IIIT Ranchi placements 2021, more than 50 were placed. Furthermore, during the 2021 placement drive, the highest and average packages offered were INR 20 LPA and INR 7.2 LPA, respectively. 34 students from the CSE branch were placed out of the total number of students placed. Leading companies such as Capgemini, Cognizant, Comm Vault Systems, Deloitte, HCL, Infosys, and TCS were among the top recruiters of IIIT Ranchi in 2021.
Now that the problems have been resolved, the hostels are reassuring. There are well-furnished flats, better than those found in any government institute. So, if you're willing to join us here, you will not be disappointed.
After dropping 2 years I got an admission in NIT Jamshedpur in the CSE branch. Will it affect the placements?
When it comes down to whether or not a decision affects your placement, it, first of all, depends on how you have prepared and put effort into your studies. If you have not put much effort into your studies and have rather studied in an unresponsive and impassive manner, then a bulk of companies actually rejecting you is more obvious.
If you want to pursue your goal and more often than not, have prepared to not let any individual material affect you, then these are ways you can aim with:
- Aim for your Academia: You should have a checklist of several professors from various other universities who can lend a hand in providing you research-oriented topics to further work on during your summer breaks. This is one way by which you can aim at greater selection, only if you stand out in the project.
- Aim for a Lucrative Job: You should always aim to participate in different algorithmic contests and contribute to your open source. It will help build a reputation and can gain you exposure in the industrial side. It also will help see the capability to sit through various contests or examinations and stand out with solving numerous demanding questions. This is another way recruiters will find you as a great asset to their company.
Other than that, you can always go up for management and courses other than the one stated above. It however depends completely on you.
What is the highest package and average package for Computer Science from BIT Sindri?
The average and highest package for every department varies from year to year in BIT Sindri. But, there are similarities in the figures every year, and the average package is found to be somewhat close to 3.5 to 4 Lakhs per annum for Computer Science.
There are some companies, like Mu Sigma who offer 8 Lakhs per annum or even more, which can be considered as the highest package in recent years.

Therefore, most companies recruiting in Computer Science offered around 3.5 to 4 LPA, except few companies, who offer more than 7 LPA in BIT Sindri. Having an average of about 70-75% placement in CSE, BIT Sindri provides a decent average graded placement.
Should I choose NSIT CSE or IIT Delhi Civil?
I am a Civil Engineering student at IIT Delhi.
Even though CoE/ CSE/ IT are much more sought after by students in the present times, I would choose Civil at IIT Delhi over CoE at NSUT.
Here are the reasons for the same:
- The faculty at IIT Delhi is much more experienced and learned than that at NSUT.
- IIT Delhi was established in 1961, while NSUT in 1983. Because of this, IIT Delhi has a stronger alumni network.
- IIT Delhi is a globally recognized brand, while NSUT is usually only known to students of North India. The “IIT” brand is immensely helpful when applying to foreign universities for higher studies.
- Although civil freshers are rarely in demand, a civil engineer with enough work experience, the right set of skills, and great project accomplishments is paid a high salary.

However, based on the various reasons listed above, I would recommend you choose IIT Delhi Civil Engineering over NSUT CoE.
How is cse in MANIT Bhopal?
Some of my colleagues have completed their B.Tech CSE from MANIT Bhopal.
Here are the key points based on their experience-
- MANIT CSE has the same placement records as CSE at top NITs and IITs. Try to make the most out of the opportunities provided to you.
- The seniors at the CSE department are very helpful.
- An important tip for you is to not indulge in any kind of quarrel with the locals. They do not allow the MANIT students to roam around or perform any kind of mischief outside of the college campus.
- The campus is quite huge, and cycling is the best way to move back and forth between the hostel and the classrooms.
- The CSE professors impart useful knowledge, so attend their classes regularly .
- In order to ace the placements, start competitive programming from semester 2 itself.
Make the most of your stay at MANIT Bhopal and study hard from the first year itself. If you do this, you’ll find CSE at MANIT to be quite good.
Which college is best for CSE branch: NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Durgapur or NIT Rourkela?
