IIEST Shibpur is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. As it is one of the most wanted engineering colleges, the closing rank for IIEST is expected to be quite steep.
For B.Tech Information Technology, the recent cutoff for outside and home state students at IIEST were as follows.
This is for the general category students. So, there’s a thin chance that you will get admission at IIEST IT.
However, you should not lose hope as the stats may change after every round. For more details regarding cutoff, you can visit their official website.
Having friends in both the colleges, I can say that MNIT Jaipur and IIIT Lucknow are equally good in their own ways. If you get a chance in any of these colleges, go for it.
Apart from getting admission in any one of either the only thing which would give you trouble is which field to choose? But, I would like to say that whatever field you choose, if you work hard and be honest with your studies you will land in a better place.

And talking about IIIT Lucknow, Their campus just started functioning in 2020. Earlier IIIT Lucknow runs from IIIT Allahabad campus.
Further, getting a job in core trade is very difficult to go to IIIT Lucknow but do check the infrastructure and previous year placement record of IIIT otherwise join MNIT Jaipur in mechanical without any second thought.
Among IIIT Una and IET Lucknow, IT at IET Lucknow can be considered a better choice, mostly due to the reason of connectivity. There are several aspects that prefer an institute over the other in this case, some of which are listed below to help students make a decision.
IET Lucknow is preferred over the other for most students. If you want to experience the weather and scenery of Himachal Pradesh, IIIT Una is a good place.
If you choose Electrical Engineering (EE) in PDPU, then you will definitely get a job, as this institute has a better EE department. But you must maintain your CGPA of approximately 9. One of my friends has studied in this institute, and he told me that it is easy enough to maintain this score in PDPU.
In the following, a brief overview has been given, considering these two institutes.

However, if you get selected in MNCs (IT and corporate jobs), they may bore you after a few years. So, if you desire to pursue your career in this field or want some experience, you can select a stream based on their preferences. However, my friend studied Petroleum Engineering (B.Tech) in 2015-2019 from PDPU.
One of my friends from high school used to be a student of IIITDM Kanchipuram and in his opinion, ECE at that institute has a far better system of progressing with the course than the NIT system.
IIITDM Kanchipuram also boasts of having a superior faculty. IT has also been derived from the ECE. Both hardware and software are involved in ECE. So, if you are more inclined towards Physics and Maths, go for ECE.
| Categories | IT at NIT Raipur | ECE at IIITDM Kanchipuram |
| Course Fee | 5.40 lakh | 6.55 lakh |

| Average CTC | 8 LPA | 12 LPA |
| Recruiting Companies | Barclays, Adobe, Oracle, HCL, etc. | Wipro, UBM, TCS, Value Service, etc. |
Thus it is suggested that you go for ECE at IIITDM Kanchipuram than IT at NIT Raipur. ECE also has better scope and opportunities than IT. Graduating with ECE you can sit for placements of both core sectors and corporate sectors.
Both the branches, be it ECE or IT are similar in LNCT. The branch to be taken should not anyhow depend on the college rather it should depend on your interest.
| Categories | IT at LNCT Bhopal |

| Placement Percentage | 70-80% |
| Highest CTC | 22 LPA |
| Average CTC | 9 LPA |

It is suggested that you go for IT at LNCT, as it has more placement on campus and opportunities for IT students.
LNCT Bhopal is a good option when compared with other private colleges in Bhopal in terms of good placement records and extracurricular activities.
Teaching at LNCT is not so good but it's also not that bad teachers are well-qualified. Faculty members give their best but self-study is more important in any aspect.
You must maintain a good attendance record at the college otherwise it can cause difficulty for you. It will help in scoring good marks in the sessional exams.
For a student, a college is just like a platform and only you can grab the opportunities. If you are looking for good placements right after graduation, you can try LNCT Bhopal.
As a first-year student, you will have the same syllabus and books as your batch mates in the CSE and ECE programs. My brother's friend studied from IET DAVV and his syllabus was the same too.
You will not have to study any specialization as of now, except maybe the basic programming in C Java or C++. It depends on what you choose because my cousin chose C++ and didn't regret his decision at all.
If you feel as if you need books outside the syllabus to understand the topics cohesively, then you can consult the following books for the respective topics:
| A.S. Vasudeva or Gaur and Gupta for Physics | Boylestad for basic Electronics |
| B.S. Grewal for Engineering Maths | B.L. Theraja for Electrical Engineering |
| N.D. Bhatt for Engineering, Drawing, and Graphics | The Complete Reference by Herbert Schild for Java |
These are good books on the topics, used by most freshers. However, you are requested to consult Google Books, and YouTube for easy comprehension of the subjects. To develop yourself from the first year itself, you can start taking up specialized subjects or projects as part of your niche enhancement process.
The college get highest of 2 cr , a student get placed while he is already passed out from there before he get placed so basically he get placed at his own . At the right time the average placement is around 4 lpa
I choose IT because of my interest in software I don't want to read about hardware they are like very irritating to me that's why I choose IT. But when I took it the booth it and cse are same at the 3rd year in 4th year u have 1 less subject than cse . The mai thing is fees difference half of cse
