How is CGPA calculated in KIIT University?
KIIT University has a 10-point grading system for calculating CGPA. For this, you need to take the sum of the products of the credit weightage of each course and the grade point obtained in that course, divided by the sum of the credit weightage of all the courses.
Consider the following example, if you have taken 5 courses in a semester with the given grade points and credit weightage:

Now, the sum of the products of the credit weightage of each course and the grade point is 116 while the sum of credit weightages is 14. To get the CGPA, you need to divide the former with the latter.
CGPA =116/14=8.28
To calculate CGPA for the entire program,
- Take the sum of the product of credit weightage and grade points obtained in all semesters
- Divide the above by the total credit weightage of all the courses in the program.
The relative grading system compares the grades of the students to the overall performance of the class.
Is an MBA from DU worth it?
An MBA from FMS at DU has the same reputation as an MBA from any IIM. You will be surprised to learn that students frequently leave IIM for FMS due to its extremely low fee structure.

Everything was done systematically and in an organized manner. The WAT was a 30-minute process and she was made to write on Outsourcing. After the ECA, she was escorted to the interview room where she found 2 female panelists.
They asked for her brief introduction, something that is more than just her name and educational background. On hearing about her passion for writing she asked what kind of writing she was into.
Owing to her interest in hockey, they asked her some related questions like
- what improvements does the Indian Hockey team need
- Who was her role model from the team and why
- Why she did not pursue a hockey career
- Did she choose the game because of it being the national game ( which it is not thus being a trick)
Next she was asked about her School life, age, and past academics. She walked if she had any prior working experience. Being an economics student they asked her
- What is elasticity and asked her to draw a graph
- They asked her what would happen if the demand for a water bottle would be increased
Lastly they asked her about her weakness after which she was asked to leave. The overall interview was a good experience mainly because the panelists, one of which was an alumnus, were friendly and lightened the tension.
How can I get degree certificate from Bangalore university if college is closed?
To get your degree certificate, you have to visit BU, the Janana Barathi campus, near Kengeri. Go to the Parikhsha Bhavan, which is near the administrative block. Enquire about your certificate there. In there Parikhsha Bhavan, there is a marks card section, you should get your certificate there. The staff will help you with this.
How do placements in IISC Bangalore compare to the IITs for PG courses? What are other differences?
I am an M.Tech, therefore, I will talk about this course.
Placements are the main reason why students with a good rank end up choosing IIT B over IISc Bangalore for their M.Tech.
The reason why you would go for your Master's is because you want to work in the technical field. Those who complete an M.Tech are technically very efficient. Working in a non-technical field after your M.Tech is not a good choice. You could have done the same after your Bachelor's. An M.Tech degree in this scenario becomes useless.
IIT Bombay has a good placement record for M.Tech students. However, most job profiles are non-technical. If you wish to go for a non-technical job after your M.Tech, go for IIT B or the other IITs.
IISc Bangalore will groom you in such a way that you will become passionate about your field of study. Many IISc Bangalore students reject non-technical job offers. Most M.Tech students at IISc Bangalore try to get a research assistantship at foreign universities to groom themselves for a research career.
These jobs are provided with the help of your faculty advisor. Therefore, IISc Bangalore does not mention them in its profile.
Overall, after your M.Tech or any PG program, if getting a job with a good package is your topmost priority, go for IITs. IISc Bangalore is a better choice for future researchers.
Which is better: BITS Pilani Hyd mechanical or VIT Vellore CS?
Rather than focusing on the institutes, it’s best to give importance to your branch. I know a friend who gave up on BITS Hyderabad Mechanical production for core Mechanical at VIT. When I asked her the reason she told me that for her it was the branch that mattered more and VIT offered the branch of her choice.
So I will advise you to do the same. Analyze where your interests lie and choose the institute accordingly.
What is the average package of a civil engineer in IIT Bombay?
The average package offered to a civil engineer at IIT Bombay depends on a multitude of factors like a student's academic performance, relevant work experience, skills, and the current job market demand.
According to IIT Bombay Placements reports of 2023, the average package offered to civil engineering graduates from IIT Bombay stood at INR 17.9 LPA. However, this is only an estimate and does not rightly portray the current job market scenario. The actual package offered to Civil Engineering students might be higher or lower than this average.
How good is an MBA from Osmania University?
There is a huge difference between the educational establishment of Osmania University than what you will usually find in other institutes. However, if you are searching for an academic backdrop concerning a corporate lifestyle, then you should rather choose to join other B-schools. Here are some things I got to know about it online.
- The study standpoint is quite different in Osmania University.

An MBA graduate from the university will unquestionably have all the required skills necessary for the corporate industry.
How are the hostel facilities in AIIMS, Delhi?
AlIMS Delhi has hostel facilities for both UG and PG students. These hostels are equipped with basic amenities such as a bed, study table, and wardrobe. The hostels also have a common room, which is equipped with a television and a few indoor games. The hostels are maintained by the institute's hostel administration and are supervised by wardens.
- The canteen facilities and hygiene measures are average.
- PG students face a little problem in getting a hostel in comparison to UG students.
- Due to the shortage of rooms, girls are usually allotted double occupancy rooms.
- Due to the recent construction of a new girls hostel, girls are now being allotted hostels earlier than before.
- Usually, the rooms provided are double occupancy. It is a 2BHK flat with a bathroom and kitchen. But the room there is also a double seater.
Overall the hostel facilities are average and better than most colleges.
How is IITK (IIT Kanpur) different from IITB (IIT Bombay)?
- After IITKGP, IIT Kanpur has the biggest campus in India, approximately 1100 Acres. IIT Bombay on the other hand is half the size of IIT Kanpur around 560 Acres.
- IIT Kanpur is the only institute in India to have its own Airstrip, Hangar, Glider pilot licensing system, and National Wind Tunnel Facility.
- The huge Open Air Theatre has the capacity to accommodate 3000 people at a time.
- World-class sports facilities.
- The problems of the students are catered to by the largest counseling service.
IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay are not even comparable given the advantages IIT Kanpur has over IITB.
