How do the placements really compare between DTU B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering and NSUT B.Tech Civil Engineering?

B

Your question is quite specific, so let’s clarify: ECE is not better than IT in terms of placements. Giants like Google and Facebook primarily recruit from COE and IT, offering packages in the range of $200,000, which no electronic core or non-tech company can match. However, it's important to note that only a select few students receive these offers, and to land them, you need to be exceptionally good at programming. So, if we compare the average salaries of students from either branch, they are likely to be quite similar.

As for NSIT, here are some points to consider:

  • Better Faculty
  • Better Labs
  • DU degree
  • Better or comparable placements
  • General perks of being in NSIT! :p

The answer really depends on your interests.

  • If you love programming and have a passion for Computer Science, then go for it!
  • But if you're okay with Mechanical Engineering, my suggestion is IIT Delhi.
  • It's definitely a better option, and the Mechanical branch is solid!

IIT Delhi Mechanical is a fantastic choice!

How do the placements really compare between MNNIT Allahabad B.Tech Computer Science Engineering and NSUT B.Tech Information Technology?

S

NIT Allahabad for CSE is a solid choice! NSUT has around 660 students in Computer Science and its branches, with over 1800 students overall. This means it could get really tough during placements. With almost double the seats this year, they lack experience in handling such a large number of students for placements.

You might also want to consider IIIT Allahabad, which is even better than MNNIT if you truly want to dive deep into coding and computer studies!

Should I go for B.Tech Mathematics and Computing in DTU or B.Tech Computer Engineering in NSUT?

G

DTU's B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing seems to offer a more robust internship and placement scenario compared to NSUT's B.Tech in Computer Engineering. At DTU, students have access to internships with big names like Adobe, often with impressive stipends, while placements are competitive and the highest package recently reached 1.25 crore. In contrast, NSUT has good placement opportunities primarily for those with strong CGPAs, but it doesn't seem to match DTU in terms of big tech company interactions. If you're aiming for high-tier tech jobs and want a solid internship experience, DTU might be the better choice, especially if you're okay with a challenging mathematics focus. However, if you prefer a slightly more straightforward computer engineering path, NSUT could still be a great option.

Which one should I opt for DTU B.Tech Civil Engineering or NSUT B.Tech Artificial Intelligence

I believe DTU B.Tech in Civil Engineering and NSUT B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence both have their unique strengths. DTU has a solid reputation in civil engineering with good faculty and decent internship opportunities from companies like L&T and Reliance, plus a vibrant campus life with engaging fests. However, NSUT's focus on AI is more aligned with current tech trends, offering higher packages and placements from top tech firms like Google and Adobe, which is appealing if you're into tech. If you're passionate about construction and fieldwork, DTU might be the better choice, but if you want to dive into the tech industry, NSUT is likely the way to go.

Should I go for B.Tech Industrial & Production Engineering in MNNIT Allahabad or B.Tech Information Technology in NSUT?

T

Campus life at MNNIT Allahabad seems more vibrant, with a variety of clubs and cultural activities that foster a rich student experience, while NSUT focuses primarily on technical fests which are also impressive but less diverse. The faculty at MNNIT is noted for good teaching in certain disciplines, but NSUT's curriculum encourages self-learning and hands-on experiences, which can be beneficial for personal growth. In terms of internships, MNNIT has a tougher competition for high CGPA students, whereas NSUT offers a more consistent placement record across branches.

Personally, I would lean towards MNNIT Allahabad for its campus life and exposure, but if you prefer a more tech-focused environment, NSUT's Information Technology program might suit you better.

Should I go for BBA in DTU or BBA in NSUT?

P
PhantomPiper Posted On : March 15th, 2026

Whether you take admission in DTU or NSUT, it won't matter much as these universities are known for their technical programs. If you want to pursue a BBA, I would recommend considering a dedicated B-school instead. An engineering-dominated university can be a challenge for management students. Separate universities are established for management, so it's worth exploring those options. If you're looking for just a degree and are satisfied with even the lowest package, then you might consider these universities. However, think about the future: will they provide you with as much practical exposure as a B-school? I would recommend looking into a B-school that is under IP or DU or any other prestigious management school. You will surely learn a lot, develop the skills you need, and have the potential for a handsome package. The rest is your choice.
