How do I make the best out of IIM Ahmedabad and B-School in general?
The primary thing to focus on while at IIM Ahmedabad or any other B School is the journey and not the end. Don’t start your college with the job as the end result. Upgrade your mindset. College is much more than just placements and jobs.
College life is about life struggles, a lot of knowledge, knowing your own self, finding your area or interests and pursuing your passion. So I would say to make the most of the B School, keep the thoughts of your future job aside and adopt a nature of learning new things every day.
Make the most of the liberal days in your life because once you start working your freedom will be restricted.
What questions should I expect at an IIM Ahmedabad interview?
There is no such set template for the questions asked during IIM Ahmedabad interview. The question pattern will depend a lot on your profile.
If you have prior work experience, most of the questions will be regarding your experience in the corporate world. Through these questions, they aim to test your technical knowledge. If you are a fresher, there will be more questions on the subjects that you studied at graduation.
The questions asked in the interview will depend a lot on which way you steer the interview. The panel picks up on the keywords that you use while speaking and you can expect questions regarding those. You can expect questions regarding your hobbies, and interests as well.

Is AGMP from IIM Ahmedabad worth doing?
This program is specially designed for working professionals. So, you are not required to stop working, just because you are pursuing this course. You will learn through virtual classes. The online classes are highly interactive. You will even have a few campus immersions of IIM Ahmedabad.
I know people from this program who have gone on to get promotions after completing this course. Some even got higher job positions with cushy packages. For management education, the reputation of IIM Ahmedabad is unparalleled. So, if you are planning on pursuing this course, you should go for it.
Am I eligible for IIM Ahmedabad with 10th 87.83%, 12th 78.2% and graduation BSc 88%?
You are eligible for IIM Ahmedabad. However, the question is whether you will get a call from IIM A or not. For IIM Ahmedabad, as per the 2021-23 shortlisting criteria, you need to be in the top 80% at each step of academics and CAT. But with your 12th score, you probably won’t be in the 80% as you are from the science stream. So you might not be shortlisted for IIM Ahmedabad.
Your chances of getting into IIM Ahmedabad or any of the BLACKI are quite thin. However, you should consider other top institutions like FMS and MDA that do not take into account past academic performance.
Despite the thin chances try to score 99.7+ in your CAT. Since you are from a non-Engineering background, you won’t face competition from among the engineering graduates. You’ll also get an advantage in the name of academic diversity. Make sure to get some work experience to make your chances of getting into IIM Ahmedabad better.
Give your CAT all the effort. If not the top IIMs, you will get admission into the best MBA institutions in India.
How good is the IIM Ahmedabad PGPX 1-year full-time program?
If your current package is less than 15 LPA, pursuing PGPX 1-year full-time program at IIM Ahmedabad is good. You should look at international colleges if your current package exceeds 15 LPA. You should always do your MBA and find a job outside of India. India is simply the world's back office. It is different if you want to be an IAS officer, but Indian corporate is slavery and junk. Working here for an extended period of time will undoubtedly turn you into a lunatic.
One week of college life is enough to demonstrate the quality of American education. The tasks are out of this world. Americans are among the world's smartest and most innovative people. As a last resort, continue your education in India. Even if you have more than 5 years of work experience, IIM A/ISB will only hire you in one of India's back offices.
If I do my graduation from IGNOU, will there be any difference in chances of getting admission to IIM Ahmedabad?
An undergraduate degree from IGNOU is acceptable for taking the CAT and getting into an IIM.
An IGNOU degree in no way means that you can not try for the IIMs. But whether an IGNOU degree will lower your chances or not, is solely known upon the interviewers.
Your chances of getting selected largely depend on your overall profile. One of my seniors at IIM Ahmedabad had completed his UG from IGNOU. His overall profile was really impressive, and he also possessed work experience of 2 years as a CA. Thus, he was selected for IIMA.
Make sure to maintain an impressive academic profile, and score well in your CAT exam. If you do so, an IGNOU degree most likely won’t hinder your selection into IIM Ahmedabad.
Can I make it to IIM A B or C if my 10 score is 93, 12 is 82 and grade is 73 and from a tier 3 college?

IIM Ahmedabad: If you are a non-engineer you will get a call easily but if you are an engineer you will need work experience and at least 99.5+CAT score
IIM Bangalore: You will need work experience to compensate for poor academic record or at least 100 percentile to get a call
IIM Calcutta: you will need 98.8+ if you are a girl. For boys, it is around 99.6+.

One of XLRI's major advantages, in addition to having a large alumni base, is that all of the HR directors at the country's top corporations are XLRI graduates. As a result, XLRI receives a fantastic placement. As most employers view it on par with IIM A, B, and C, this also helps if you wish to change jobs. It will be regarded as one notch lower when compared to IIM A, B, and C. Top IB and PE firms that exclusively visit IIM A, B, and C do not go to XLRI. Which are the top 5 highest paying companies at IIM Ahmedabad?
The top-paying companies, generally belonging amongst the regular recruiters, are the multinational banks, usually offering job roles like investment banking (IB). Alongside that, the roles in Financial Marketing (FM), also pay well, considering the base destination is overseas. Now, this is in terms of direct conversion and not PPP.
