At IIT Hyderabad, the department of CSE got an average CTC of 26.6 LPA in 2019 campus placement, while the highest CTC offered was 47 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Amazon, Microsoft, and Airtel hired CSE students. IIT Hyderabad being among the top 10 IITs in India, excels in placements and the students receive good packages in top MNCs.
On the other hand, IIT Bhubaneswar has 100% placements for the CSE department in 2019 campus placement. A total of 89 companies visited the campus namely Capgemini, Dell, Honeywell, Microsoft, Accenture, etc. The students of the CSE department received a handsome package of 10-35 LPA.
Hyderabad is better than other new IITs and the placements and other facilities at IIT Hyderabad is much better than IIT Bhubaneswar, so CSE at IIT Hyderabad would be the better choice.
NIT Trichy for B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a solid ROI with a fee structure around Rs.60,000 per semester and various scholarships that can cover the entire cost for economically weaker students. The on-campus internships and tech giant placements further enhance its value. In contrast, IIT Hyderabad's B.Tech in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, while prestigious, comes with higher expectations and potentially higher fees, but might not guarantee the same level of placement opportunities as seen in core engineering fields. If you're looking for a financially smart choice with practical applications and internships, NIT Trichy is the way to go, while IIT Hyderabad might suit those aiming for a specialized field with a passion for biotech.
Honestly, both NIT Trichy for B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and IIT Hyderabad for B.Tech in Civil Engineering have their strengths, but I lean towards NIT Trichy. The curriculum there is well tied to real-world applications, which is crucial in today’s job market, while IIT Hyderabad, being a newer institution, might still be developing its reputation, especially in civil engineering. NIT Trichy also seems to have a vibrant campus life with various technical events and cultural programs, which can enhance your overall student experience. However, if you have a strong passion for civil engineering, IIT Hyderabad has a prestigious tag that might open more doors for you in the long run. Ultimately, if you value practical learning and campus activities, go for NIT Trichy; if you’re aiming for a well-known name in civil engineering, then IIT Hyderabad could be your best bet.
NIT Trichy B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering has a solid curriculum and supportive faculty, but the recent placement statistics were impacted by economic challenges, with around 80% placement and an average package of 14-15 LPA. In contrast, IIT Hyderabad's B.Tech in Engineering Science boasts a much larger recruitment drive with around 250 companies participating, including giants like Google and Amazon, making it more robust for job opportunities. While both campuses offer a vibrant student life, IIT Hyderabad seems to provide a more dynamic environment with research opportunities and various clubs. Personally, I would lean towards IIT Hyderabad for its superior placement prospects and broader industry connections, especially for those aiming for high-profile tech careers.
Both NIT Trichy and IIT Hyderabad have their strengths, but when it comes to fees and ROI, NIT Trichy offers a more affordable option. The tuition fee at NIT Trichy is around 62,500 per semester, which is significantly lower than IIT Hyderabad’s 1,25,000 per year. While IIT Hyderabad has a wider array of companies recruiting and potentially higher average packages, NIT Trichy has a decent package of 14-15 LPA with 80% placements, which is respectable given the current economic climate.
If you’re looking for a better financial choice and want to minimize debt while still getting a solid education, NIT Trichy for B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering is the smarter pick. However, if you have a strong interest in research and materials science, and don't mind the higher fees, IIT Hyderabad could be worth the investment in the long run.
NIT Trichy’s B.Tech in Computer Science offers an impressive placement rate of around 98%, with the highest package hitting 60 LPA and a median of 14 LPA, making it a strong contender in terms of return on investment. In contrast, IIT Hyderabad’s B.Tech in Chemical Engineering also has a solid reputation, but specific placement statistics are less detailed. The fees at NIT Trichy are significantly lower, around 65,000 per year, alongside various scholarships for students from lower income brackets, which enhances its value for money. If you’re inclined towards coding and tech, NIT Trichy is a smarter financial choice. However, if you have a strong interest in chemical engineering and prefer the IIT brand, IIT Hyderabad is still a reputable option.
Here the placement is good not great. It all depends upon the market. Here many companies come like Qualcomm, Micron, Samsung, Nvidia and many other big companies. 70% of students get placed every year.
Faculty to Student Ratio is roughly 10:1, and faculties are very approachable over mail or even in person. I personally liked studying under Prof Niranjan Ghaisas, because of his areas of research (HPC).
The annual techno-cultural fest of IITH is Elan & nVision which happens every year around Jan-Feb. The library of IITH is very huge and contains almost every important literature of technical and non-technical fields too. Every sport from Badminton, Cricket, Basketball, Football, TT, Squash, Weightlifting is offered here.
