If you are mainly concerned with placements when it comes to CGC Landran for Mechanical, it is going to be tough. There are more than 800 students in a batch and crossing that hurdle to get placed is quite tough so my recommendation would not be for taking mechanical in this college.
As far as other branches are concerned, like CSE, IT and EC, you will definitely love studying there. You can get placed quite easily into decent companies and also get into international affairs like foreign exchange programs to countries like Belgium, China and UK.

When it comes to faculty with the mechanical department, it is quite good. However, the infrastructure is not that great at all. Being a mechanical engineering student, you will not get the exposure or knowledge you are looking for as compared to other colleges like SRM, VIT, or MIT Pune.
In my opinion, you should only join CGC Landran if you are looking for CSE and EC and not for mechanical engineering at all.
Mechanical at IIT Bhubaneswar and Mechanical at IIT Jodhpur both are well-recognized in India. However, the choice between the two majorly depends on your personal preference and career goals. If you will ask me I will say IIT Bhubaneswar is a better choice as it is known for its high standards in academics and research works.
Mechanical Engineering (ME) aspirants often compare LPU and Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow, for their B.Tech programs.
LPU stands out as a better choice for ME due to its superior placement records, accreditations, and facilities.
Well, it depends upon several factors. A few of them are as mentioned below.
There are other factors, or possible scenarios, such as,
The above scenarios can give you possible average outcomes, but there can be vague contradictions as well. You also need to consider which subject interests you.
According to various student reviews, the preference order for CSE and Mechanical is MNNIT > NITJ. You should always give preference to the branch rather than the institute. Hope this clarifies most of your doubts.
IIT Roorkee Mechanical will be better. It has an excellent placement record. IIT Roorkee Mechanical average package is INR 15 LPA. Reputed companies like Google, Microsoft, and Maruti Suzuki recruit from the branch. You can also get good placement opportunities in the IT sector.
IIT Roorkee has various clubs such as Web development Club, Programming Club, Robotics, etc. If you are interested, you can join any of these clubs and build additional skills.
If you are not looking at the branch, then you should think about going to SVNIT for Mechanical. Having friends study in both the institutes, I might be able to provide some details about them.
However, if you have decided that you would like to go for computers and if you could handle that field, IIIT Vadodara is a pretty good choice.
But many people will also advise you to not compare the two branches as they are quite different. NIT Surat is a better option facility wise but let me tell you that getting a job in the mechanical core is quite difficult. A lot of students will also opt for software fields.

Placement-wise, IIIT Vadodara is the best as you can get a lot more than what you might be looking for in Mechanical. Hope this helps.
IIT Dhanbad is best for pursuing mechanical engineering. It provides students with top-notch academic resources and amenities. Additionally, the placements are fairly decent. Every year, between 70 and 80 percent of students in the mechanical stream get placed. The former is better IIT Dhanbad was established in 1926 whereas IIT Jodhpur came in 2008. In terms of placement, faculty, ranking, and academic excellence IIT Dhanbad stays in the upper hand for pursuing mechanical engineering than IIT Jodhpur. The reasons for choosing IIT Dhanbad are as follows:
In conclusion, IIT Dhanbad would be a great place to study mechanical engineering. With its long-standing reputation, knowledgeable faculty, employment opportunities, and a campus that is well-equipped. It cultivates a setting that is advantageous for both academic and personal growth.
Firstly, you should know that there is no difference in the facilities and reputation of the colleges, Although BITS ranks better as an engineering school. BITS Pilani ranks #30 on NIRF's Engineering rank list and IIIT Allahabad ranks #103 on the same. But you should focus on your monetary capacity in consonance with your future plans before applying.
My cousin studied at IIIT A and the following points are based on his experience:

Lastly, if you love the mechanical stream and are truly motivated to study Maths and Physics then you must go for it. Mechanical is a vast field as well because you'd learn everything related to mechanical processes and even production scheduling. So clearly check your interests and goals before deciding.
