Facilities:
Both these colleges offer excellent placements along with lots of opportunities. It is upon the students which college they would like to opt for among these two.
I have a few friends who graduated from IIITM Gwalior. According to them, the college is quite good.
You will get the best campus experience and learning experience from this college.
I have few friends at both IIITM Gwalior and IIITDM Jabalpur. Based on the conversation I had with them, I will say IIITM Gwalior is the better option for CSE.
The faculty at IIITM Gwalior is great. Most of the faculty members have Ph.D. The placement record of IIITM Gwalior is also quite impressive.
Here are the recent placement statistics for the institute.

IIITM Gwalior ranks better than IIITDM Jabalpur on almost all platforms. It also has a better coding culture. You can check the institute ranking on SPOJ to have a better idea about the coding culture on campus.
One of my friends studying at IIITM Gwalior said that the startup culture there is actually better than most other technical colleges which give it an extra edge.
The college has two organizations dedicated to developing the startup culture in the college.
Apart from that, IIITM Gwalior has a very good position in the Atal Innovation Rankings which speaks of the innovation culture of the institute and the pedigree of the students.
The course curriculum of the institute is also not very demanding which is very much important for students pursuing entrepreneurial paths.
Recent IIITM Gwalior cutoff trends shows general students with a rank of around 25k get admission. While the safe rank for OBC category students is around 35k. So, you will need to score around 180-200, in order to get a shortlist for IIITM Gwalior. This is a tentative estimate. The required score for admission changes each year, depending on various factors.
B.Tech CSE from IIITM Gwalior will be a better option compared to integrated IT. B.Tech courses are more flexible. You will have the freedom to choose your field of interest after graduation. You can go for management degrees, or go for higher education abroad. With an integrated degree, your options will be limited.
IIITM Gwalior placements are pretty good for CSE. Almost 100% of students from the branch get placed. The average CTC offered in the placement drive is INR 14 LPA.
Both the institutes are famous. But for the CSE branch, NIT Goa is the better alternative. The reason is placement and recruiters that visit the campus are much better than IIITM. The placement statistics of NIT Goa are below.
| Average Package | INR 7.35 LPA |
| Highest Package | INR 20 LPA |
| Top recruiters | R&D, Samsung, HFCL, etc. |
But if you are looking for an excellent hostel and campus life, NITG is not a choice for you. NITG does not have its campus. The current batches adjust in the campus provided by Goa Engineering College (GEC).
You should surely take the 5-year course because it is quite convenient. You will get really good placements with the 5-year course. Additionally, with the 4-year course being just newly introduced, the placements will take some time to develop. The IPG faculty is very good as compared to the B.Tech faculty who are novices.
Moreover, you will also save an entire year. If you are interested in coding, you will get an extra year to hone your skills and improve them which would eventually lead to better placements. So between the two, choose the five-year course.
CSE has been introduced to IIITM Gwalior in 2017, and the first batch of CSE will pass out in 2021. Which makes it evident that there is no CSE pass-out batch to date. The placement scenario of CSE is expected to be as good as IT, if not better.

Some key highlights about the placement of IIITM Gwalior, especially for the IT branch, are listed below.
To conclude, the CSE branch shares the same facilities and infrastructure as the 5-year IPG course in IT, which would lead to an equal grade placement as expected.
The only demerits of joining the duel degree program at IIITM Gwalior is the extra one year. With a little bit of effort, you can easily get the skills taught in this program through a 4-year long B.Tech. In that case, you will be wasting a year.
According to the recent highlights, IIITM Gwalior dual degree placements are quite good. The average CTC for the program is around INR 10-11 LPA.
