Until what rank does the IPM IIM Indore merit list go for the general category?
This is something that will vary according to the year of admission. For any category, students up to a certain rank are decided according to the seats they have and are given provisional admission letters.
Thereafter if any student among them does not accept the offer and any seat is left vacant then only the next ranked candidate is offered the seat.
In previous years in the general category, students till the rank of 58 were offered the provisional admission letters and all others beyond the rank were in the consideration pool in case some students did not accept the offer.

I have lack of achievements in extra curricular activities. I have my interview for IPM IIM Indore. Is it a disadvantage and how can I deal with it?
One of my cousins graduated from IIM Indore and according to him, it is not really a disadvantage.
- Extra-curricular serves the purpose of letting you speak about something other than your regular academics. It shows the panelists that you not just focused on your academics but you were also active in other activities.
- Now, not having extracurricular achievements does not mean you won’t be able to talk about anything. Be thorough in your subjects from 12th grade. Make sure you know the relevant concepts and can apply them in real-life situations.
- Also, know about your school, its history, and basic trivia around it. Know about your home state - famous personalities belonging to your state, dance forms, festivals, and the likes.
- Talk about your hobbies and about how you've developed them over the years.
Lastly, be aware of current affairs. Read newspapers regularly and make sure you are able to form opinions and support them with logical facts.

So rest your worries and apply for MBA in your dream college even if your undergrad BBA college was a less reputed one. Regarding your undergraduate college, the only criteria are the minimum marks for appearing for the CAT exam i.e. 50%. All you need to do is get an excellent CAT score.
To get admission to any IIM, you need to focus on things like CAT score, 10th, 12th, Bachelor grade. The school and colleges from where you acquired your education do not matter at all. What matters is that your academic profile should reflect your excellent scores and involvement in extracurricular activities
