What's the present scenario of placements in KIIT?
Here is a glimpse of the placement scenario at KIIT.
- The placements are pathetic here and the institute is only for the ones who are aimless and have no big dreams.
- The institute is a curse for big engineering dreams as it crushes all your passion.
- The profiles offered to the students are poor. Even big companies like Deloitte and MuSigma offer below-average roles like Quality Assurance and Tester
Although the T & P cell works hard here, it fails to bring its good profiles. I would suggest you do a Master's from a good college to bring a posting change in your career.
Can I get into CSE in KIIT with a rank of 5342?
A few years back my friend made it to KIIT with a 6000 rank. But, now KIIT has increased its student intake and anyone can get a good branch with this rank.
You may not get the seat in the 1st counseling as the closing rank was 5356 this year. But you will surely get through with the 3rd or 4th counseling. You can get a branch to upgrade according to the seats available.
The catch is that the number of seats has increased, reciprocatively the demand for CSE has also increased. Your chance of getting a CSE is good.
What branch can I get in kiit with 18000 rank?
Some of my friends attend the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and according to them, with a rank of 18000 in KIIT, you can get any core or other branches except CSE, IT, and ETC.

UIT RGPV Bhopal
- Applicants of UIT RGPV Bhopal should have 50% in their 10+2 qualifying exams with PCM.
- JEE rank is mandatory for BTech admission.
- Students applying for postgraduate courses should have 60% in their graduation in BTech or BE.
- MTech students will be selected on the basis of GATE rank.
KIIT Bhubaneswar
- Applicants of KIIT Bhubaneswar should have 60% in their 10+2 with PCM.
- Applicants have to give an entrance exam KIITEE.
- This will be followed by a counselling session.
- The final selection will be based on the entrance exam.

Which college should I choose for a rural management course, KIIT or XIMB Bhubaneswar?
There is no doubt that students should choose XIMB. It truly has a strong brand of academics in Management Studies at both the national and international levels.

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology
How is the faculty at KIIT?
faculty:student ration is 50:1. however teachers are really supportive . the b help us whenever needeed. we can directly approach teacher. i liked most our coa teacher debashish hati . his teaching clearly make me understand everything. he is the best gfaculty in my opinion. every faulty is good. total 2 exams are there in a semester . internal is of 30 marks .
How is the campus life at KIIT?
My overall experience at KIIT has been very positive.The campus infrastructure is modern with well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, and a large library that provides access to many books and journals for academic learning. The university also organizes annual cultural and technical festivals like KIITfest , which usually takes place in February and March.There are many student clubs related to coding, robotics, music, dance, and entrepreneurship where we can develop skills and interests. The campus also provides good sports facilities including cricket , football ,badminton and other indoor games.These activities helps to maintain a good balance between academic and social life.
How are the hostels at KIIT?
The hostel facilities at KIIT are well-organized and comfortable for students.The hostel rooms are usually provided with basic facilities such as beds, study tables, chairs, cupboards , and good internet connectivity . The hostels are clean and have proper security, along with wardens to manage student safely. The mess provides regular meals with a fixed menu, and the food quality is generally decent with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available. The hostel registration process is simple and done during the admission process itself , but it was crowdy though. For students staying outside the campus, there are also many PGs and rented rooms available near KIIT road .
