The new PGP courses in Finance and Liberal Arts have a lot of expectations. My friend met a few professors from IIM Kozhikode and they were really looking forward to these courses.
The only drawback is that the placement opportunities for these courses are still unknown. So all we can do is wait for the best results.

Here are my ratings for the IIMs
The above rankings have been done on the basis of age, placements, and research. I don’t think these factors are enough to rank IIMs.
Another major parameter of comparison is the duration of the establishment.
Most of the FT rankings and online rankings are based on this parameter. In reality, every IIM has top-notch faculty, infrastructure and placements m. Yet the new IIMs will take some time to reach the top.

There are certain sets of procedures that need to be followed to become a professor in Finance or any other field.
Your best available option is to apply for a professor in the university where you have completed your post-graduation. If you were acquainted with the graduate committee, they can recommend you as an assistant professor. It would be better if you start working in the industry related to Financial services as a fresher and gain some work experience. And simultaneously, you can be a visiting lecturer in the colleges that offer MBA Programs.
Both IIM Kozhikode and SPJIMR offer an excellent curriculum in MBA that is taught by the best and most learned faculty. One of my cousins chose IIMK over SPJIMR because she was inclined toward Finance specifically. Additionally, the IIM tag helped her avail better opportunities.
SPJIMR on the other hand has a few drawbacks that make you want to reconsider joining it. Firstly, it has a triple occupancy room system which may not be fit for everyone. Secondly, its culture is a bit restrictive focusing only on mental development.
Overall, If you are a CA or a CFA graduate with Financial Corp experience, you will be exposed to similar cultures and opportunities on both campuses. But if you are an engineer, you will get better opportunities at IIM Kozhikode.
Ultimately, the final decision is yours to make!
Whether to join IIM Kozhikode or not is definitely your call because the scenario once you join IIM K would be different.
I would like to share with you an experience of my friend, who attended IIM K.
So, I will advise you to consider all these factors and make a more convenient choice for yourself.
When it comes to preparing for an interview, it's natural to feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to start. However, it's important to remember that with the right approach, you can ace your interview and make a great impression on your potential employer.
Firstly, it's essential to focus on your academic knowledge and aptitude, as these are often key factors that employers consider while hiring. Take the time to review your academic records and refresh your memory on key concepts.
In addition to this, it's important to pay attention to your personality and how you present yourself in the interview. This can include things like body language, tone of voice, and communication skills. Consider practicing with a friend or family member to get feedback on how you come across in a professional setting.
While it's true that current affairs may not come up in the interview, it's always a good idea to stay informed and up-to-date on relevant news and trends in your industry. When it comes to preparing for the interview, take advantage of resources like past interview experiences and do's and don'ts guides. These can provide valuable insights into what to expect and how to best present yourself.
Even if you're unsure if you want to join the company, it's always a good idea to attend the interview and keep your options open. If you are selected, you can then make an informed decision based on your experience during the interview process.
With the right preparation and mindset, you can approach your interview with confidence and increase your chances of landing the job. Focus on your academic knowledge, aptitude, and personality, stay informed on current affairs and take advantage of available resources to make the most of the opportunity.
The answer to your question is objectively based solely on your inclinations. IITs might offer a better ROI than IIMs. But had I been in your place I would have gone for the newer IIMs like Kozhikode or IIM Ranchi which is one of the fastest-growing IIMs. The reasons for taking this decision would have been
All these points make IIM a more tempting choice. Yet if you are tight on budget and just want to go for the Operations domain IIT will do fine for you.
