Overall, IIT Delhi is considered a good option for students interested in entrepreneurship.
One of my friends was in a similar dilemma when he got both CSE at IIIT Delhi and CSE at IIT Patna.
Although he lived in Delhi, he did not choose IIIT Delhi and went for IIT Patna instead. There were a number of reasons why he chose Patna.
Ultimately, Delhi has a better location but that is outweighed by the IIT tag.
Most Government, as well as Private companies, prefer BTech graduates to MTech or MS graduates. One needs an MTech degree only if one wants to enter academia or research. The reason they prefer a fresher is that they consider them flexible and thus sponsor them for higher study in their field of requirement.
M.Tech degree is not required to secure a good job and I will recommend you start preparing for GATE instead and target a PSU job. The written tests and interviews during the process of GATE Preparation will increase your chances of selection in the future.
Yes, IIT Delhi MTech Machine Design students do get placed with decent roles and packages. In fact, after IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi is the most preferred IIT for students mailing to get enrolled in the MTech program. The 2 main reasons for this are listed below:
MTech Program offered by the Mechanical Department of IIT Delhi has a decent placement scenario with a placement percentage of around 70-80%. Design stream has the best placements in the entire department in terms of the average package as well as placement percentage. Mainly roles in R&D and a few managerial roles are offered.
I will restrict my answer to Engineering Physics and Chemicals only as I know the same only.
I wouldn’t suggest anyone go for Engineering Physics if they have no intention of pursuing it later. Instead, look for other options in BTech and explore your interests.
Being a premier Engineering Institute, IIT Delhi was ranked 2nd by NIRF in 2022. The most coveted branch offering the highest package is Computer Science or CS. It was ranked No.1 by India Today in 2021.
IIT Delhi CSE placement percentage was 82%. The highest package stood at INR 2.5 CPA, the lowest package was around INR 12 LPA and the average package stood at INR 21.9 LPA. Some of the major recruiting companies were
The top role offered was that of a Software Developer (SDE).

The branch-wise placement details for IIT Delhi are unfortunately not available. However, as seen above, both the colleges offer really good placements in B.Tech programs.
But IIT Delhi Electrical is a better option because this institution carries a bigger brand name, and the ‘IIT’ tag. This will be immensely important for you when applying for higher studies after your graduation. Moreover, plenty of employees give preference to an ‘IIT’ tag over an ‘NIT’ tag.
IIT Delhi is located in the national capital, which is really beneficial in terms of exposure. Moreover, IIT Delhi will give you much more opportunities as compared to NIT Trichy. You can learn coding in your leisure time while studying electrical, in case you are interested in working in the IT sector.
Because of these reasons, I would recommend you choose EE at IIT Delhi over CSE at NIT Trichy.
Yes, a student in Textile Engineering can opt for a minor in CS at IIT Delhi subject to the following conditions
Any student of Textile Engineering who fulfills all the above criteria is eligible for opting for a minor in CS.
Both IIT Hyderabad Artificial Intelligence and IIT Delhi Mathematics and Computing are excellent courses. Of the two, choosing MNC at IIT Delhi is slightly better because:

If you have a specific inclination towards AI, the IIT Hyderabad AI course will treat you well. But if your interest lies in Math and Computer Science, or you wish to gain an overall better exposure, I would recommend you join Mathematics and Computing at IIT Delhi.
Firstly, at IIT Delhi, the first day is called Day 1 and not Day 0.
Day 1
Obviously, the most elite companies with the best packages visit the campus on the first day.
Day 2
The second-day witnessed fewer consulting companies and more Analytics companies than the first day. Companies offering Management roles start visiting from the second day and keep coming till Days 4-5. These include Flipkart, Housing, Snapdeal, etc.
