YSPUHF has opened PhD admissions for 2025-26, allowing applications with a late fee until December 31.

Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry has begun the application process for Doctoral Degree Admissions 2025-26, inviting candidates to submit forms online within the notified schedule. Applicants can apply without a late fee until December 25, and with a late fee until December 31.
The university will conduct the entrance test on January 4, 2026, followed by the answer key, results, and counselling as per the official timeline. Candidates must check all details carefully before applying.

As per the prospectus, candidates can submit the online application without a late fee till December 25, 2025, and with a late fee till December 31, 2025. A late fee of ₹1000 will be charged for submissions made after the regular deadline.

The university will conduct the PhD Entrance Test on January 4, 2026 (Sunday), and upload the answer key on the same day. Candidates can file objections till January 6, 2026, 5 PM. The final answer key will be released on January 8, and the result will be announced on January 12, 2026.
YSPUHF will start 1st counselling on January 15, 2026, followed by the commencement of classes on January 20, 2026. The 2nd counselling is scheduled for February 2, 2026. Candidates must attend counselling physically, as admission is based on merit and document verification.
The university has announced different application fees based on the type of seat selected. Candidates from the Unreserved, OBC, and EWS categories must pay ₹1600 for Normal seats, ₹2200 for Self-financing seats, and ₹3000 if they choose both options. For SC, ST, and Third Gender applicants, the fee is ₹1100 for Normal seats and ₹2500 for the combined option.
Orphaned and PwD candidates from Himachal Pradesh are exempted from paying any application fee. Additionally, all applicants submitting their forms after December 25 must pay a late fee of ₹1000.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree with 6.50 OGPA/65% marks, with 5% relaxation for SC/ST/PwD categories. Each discipline has specific eligibility requirements, including a research thesis or dissertation, as listed in the prospectus.
