Ranaveer Sinha (President, XLRI Alumni Association) addressed the gathering and welcomed the guests for the event. Sinha is an XLRI Alumnus. He shared his experience as a student at XLRI and said, “XLRI has produced many leaders in the industry and these leaders control the intake of freshers into their organisations. That's why they are called the XL Mafias. Hindustan Unilever’s CHRO is an XLRI Alumni. ICICI Bank’s CEO & CHRO is an XLRI Alumni. Axis Bank’s CHRO is an XLRI Alumni. You name any top organisations; we have our XL Mafia there. Make the best use of your time at XLRI, grow your network and it will carry on for life.”

Ronald DCosta, President of Jamshedpur Chapter of XLRI Alumni Association welcomed the students. “Money doesn’t come first. Ideas & Projects come in. Money follows good ideas and it will follow you too”, he shared these wise words from his mentor Fr. William N Tome, SJ – one of the Founding Fathers of XLRI and has immensely contributed to the growth of XLRI.

Mario Lobo, President of Mumbai Chapter of XLRI Alumni Association discussed how the process of hiring has evolved over the last 42 years. “Give more than you take”, he shared these words of wisdom said by Fr. E. H. McGrath, his mentor and one of the Founding Fathers of XLRI.

Srini Vudumala, President of Hyderabad Chapter of XLRI Alumni Association discussed why XLers progress a lot in the HR Domain. “Reason being, as an HRM student you are exposed not only to the HR subjects but you get to learn and have an understanding of all the different aspects of a business. XLers score better in the quizzes that life throws on them as compared to other students from any other B-Schools”, he said.

Raj Narayan, President of Bangalore Chapter of XLRI Alumni Association shared his mentor’s words of wisdom “Who is Who & Who is Who’s?” He advised the students saying, “Don’t take yourself too seriously. Be able to laugh at yourself, take a joke on yourself. Make others more important and take them seriously. Explore and embrace the different opportunities you get, different committees. Suresh Ramasubramanian, President of Delhi Chapter of XLRI Alumni Association addressed the students saying, “Network is equal to net worth. We can pull together anytime anything across the world. We have global CEOs too. Alumni system works globally only at XLRI.”
