XIM PhD Schedule

Xavier’s Institute of Management is accepting applications for its PhD program for the academic year 2025. Candidates interested can apply online by browsing @xim.edu.in on or before February 29, 2025. Candidates must pay INR 1800 as a registration fee at the time of submitting the application.

XIM PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Xavier’s Institute of Management's different PhD programs are provided in the table below:

Xavier Institute of Management School of Human Resource Management School of Rural Management School of Sustainability School of Commerce School of Economics A master's degree (or its equivalent) in any field from an accredited university with a minimum of 55% of the possible points.
School of Human Settlements A master's degree (or its equivalent) in any field with at least 55% of the possible points must be earned from an accredited university for the Ph. D. in Urban Management and Governance and the Ph. D. in Planning.
School of Governance and Public Affairs A master's degree with at least 55% of the possible points from an accredited university in public administration, public policy and governance studies, sociology, psychology, political science, economics, or management studies is required.
School of Communications A professional degree in the field of communication that has been deemed equivalent by the relevant regulatory body with at least 55% of the total marks from an accredited university, OR a master's degree in communication and journalism, visual communication, communication, electronic media, new media, fine arts, advertising and public relations, broadcast communication, film studies, or English language and literature.
School of Computer Science and Engineering MBA with a B.Tech in the appropriate field, M.Tech or M.E. in the relevant field, MCA, M.Sc., or MS in computer science, mathematics, or statistics, or an equivalent. A minimum of 55% of total marks at the Master's level from an accredited university is required.

Shortlisted candidates will be chosen based on their Statement of Purpose (SoP) and academic records. The XIM Research Aptitude Test (XRAT), a research presentation, and a personal interview will be needed of the shortlisted candidates. XRAT will not apply to candidates who have passed the UGC NET-JRF (Category 1: JRF). They will participate in the other selection procedures, nevertheless.
