WBMCC has released the revised provisional merit list for NEET UG 2026 Round 1. Choice filling is open at wbmcc.nic.in from August 25 to 27, 2026 for MBBS and BDS seats under the 85 percent state quota.

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released the revised provisional merit list for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 Round 1 on its official portal at wbmcc.nic.in. The revised list applies to admissions into MBBS and BDS courses under the 85 percent state quota in West Bengal.

Alongside the revised list, the committee has opened the choice filling window for Round 1. Eligible candidates can now log in to the portal and lock their college and course preferences. The window will remain open till August 27, 2026.

The revision follows the schedule update issued by WBMCC on August 20, 2026. The original choice filling window was set from August 19 to 21, 2026, with the allotment result due on August 25. That schedule has now been pushed forward to accommodate the revised merit list.

How to Check the WB NEET UG 2026 Revised Merit List?

Candidates can view their position in the revised list through the official portal. The list carries category-wise ranks for Unreserved, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwD candidates.

  1. Visit the official website at wbmcc.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link titled Revised Provisional List of Candidates for Round 1.
  3. Log in using your NEET UG 2026 roll number and password.
  4. Check your revised state merit rank and category status.
  5. Save and download the page for future reference.

How to Fill Choices at wbmcc.nic.in?

Choice filling is the most critical step in the counselling process. The order of preferences directly decides the seat you are allotted.

  1. Log in to the candidate portal on wbmcc.nic.in.
  2. Open the Choice Filling and Locking tab.
  3. Select MBBS or BDS courses across government, private and minority colleges.
  4. Arrange the choices in your order of preference.
  5. Lock the choices before 8 PM on August 27, 2026.

Unlocked choices will be auto-locked by the system at the end of the window. Once locked, preferences cannot be edited.

Who Is Eligible for WB NEET UG 2026 Counselling?

Only candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 and completed WBMCC registration between August 13 and 16, 2026 can participate. Applicants must also meet the West Bengal domicile and category norms listed in the Notice cum Information Bulletin dated August 11, 2026.

A revised merit list means the state rank order has changed after fresh verification. Even a small rank movement can shift the college or branch you are eligible for. Candidates must recheck their new rank before locking preferences.
