VNIT Nagpur Placement Report 2025-26 Released

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur has released its latest placement statistics for the 2025–26 academic session, covering data up to October 17, 2025. The institute has witnessed encouraging placement trends across B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Arch, and M.Sc programs, with several students securing high-paying offers and multiple job opportunities.

The Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch continues to dominate with the highest package of ₹64 LPA, while the overall average package stands at ₹14.86 LPA. The report also highlights steady performance across core engineering and interdisciplinary branches.

VNIT B.Tech Placements 2025–26 Overview

A total of 699 B.Tech students from the 2026 graduating batch registered for placements this year, out of which 182 students have been placed, receiving 186 job offers so far. The overall placement percentage stands at 26.04% as of mid-October.

Among all branches, Computer Science Engineering (CSE) recorded the highest placement rate of 52.34%, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).

In terms of salary trends, CSE once again led with an average package of ₹17.64 LPA and a highest offer of ₹58.30 LPA. Chemical Engineering followed with an average package of ₹15.36 LPA and a maximum offer of ₹30 LPA. Other branches such as EEE, ECE, and Mechanical Engineering recorded steady placement averages between ₹13–14 LPA.

The Civil Engineering department saw moderate placement outcomes with an average of ₹10.83 LPA and a top package of ₹18.50 LPA, while Metallurgical & Materials Engineering (MME) and Mining Engineering reported average offers around ₹11–14 LPA.

Overall, the average CTC across all B.Tech branches stood at ₹10.70 LPA, with a median of ₹8.30 LPA and the highest package touching ₹64 LPA.

M.Tech Placement Statistics 2025–26

The M.Tech programs at VNIT have also shown impressive outcomes. The Computer Science Engineering (CSE) specialization topped the list with a highest package of ₹29.39 LPA and an average of ₹12.97 LPA.

Other high-performing branches include Power Electronics & Drives, which recorded a maximum offer of ₹14.19 LPA and an average of ₹10.83 LPA, and Communication Systems and VLSI Design, with averages ranging between ₹9.5–10.6 LPA.

Specializations under Civil Engineering, such as Structural, Environmental, and Transportation Engineering, reported average packages of ₹6–7 LPA. Overall, M.Tech placements recorded an average package of ₹7.98 LPA, a median of ₹7.25 LPA, and a highest package of ₹29.39 LPA.

VNIT Nagpur continues to attract reputed recruiters from core engineering, IT, consulting, and analytics sectors. Students from CSE, ECE, and EEE branches remain top choices for companies offering high-value packages, while Mechanical and Chemical Engineering branches saw consistent participation from manufacturing and energy firms.

Several students received multiple offers, indicating increased recruiter engagement and early placement activity. With placement drives still ongoing, the final report for the 2025–26 session is expected to record higher numbers across branches.
