UPTAC 2026 BTech Counselling Registration Begins; Register by June 15

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has opened online registration for Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) BTech Admission 2026. Registration began May 25, 2026 and closes June 15, 2026. Candidates must register on the official portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in to participate in the counselling process.

This is the only opportunity for registration in regular rounds of counselling. Registration is not allowed in Round 2, Round 3, and Round 4. Candidates must complete all registration formalities within the specified deadline.

Candidates must have a valid JEE Main 2026 scorecard to be eligible for UPTAC counselling. Only JEE Mains qualified candidates passing 10+2 from Uttar Pradesh or domicile of UP can participate. Candidates with valid JEE Mains ranks and scores are allowed to appear in UPTAC 2026 counselling.

UPTAC 2026 BTech Admission Important Dates

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science stream from any recognized board. Candidates must be domicile of Uttar Pradesh or have passed 10+2 from UP. No age limit restrictions apply for UPTAC 2026 BTech admission.

Candidates must have obtained a valid JEE Mains 2026 score or rank. Candidates with CUET (UG) 2026 scores are also eligible for special round admissions. All candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by AKTU and participating institutions.

How to Register for UPTAC 2026 BTech Counselling?

• Visit the official UPTAC portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in and click on "New Candidate Registration."
• Enter your full name as per Class X marksheet and date of birth.
• Create a login account using your active email address and password.
• Fill in all required personal and academic details accurately in the registration form.
• Use the latest version of Google Chrome web browser for filling the application.
• Double-check all details before clicking the final submit button.

Candidates must upload Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates during registration. Upload the JEE Mains 2026 admit card and scorecard as proof of qualification. Upload category certificate if applicable (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).

Upload domicile certificate or proof of UP residency as required. Upload any other documents specified by the admission committee. All documents must be uploaded in the prescribed format and clearly visible.

The registration fee is INR 1000 (non-refundable) for UPTAC 2026 BTech counselling. Payment must be completed through online mode only during the registration window. Candidates can pay via net banking, credit card, or debit card.

Online Choice Filling and Locking for Round 1

Online choice filling and locking for Round 1 will be held June 22 to June 25, 2026. Candidates must fill their preferred colleges and branches in order of preference. Choices must be locked before the deadline to participate in seat allotment.

Candidates can modify their choices before locking. After locking, choices cannot be changed in Round 1. The system will consider locked choices for seat allotment process.

Seat Allotment and Confirmation Process

Seat allotment for Round 1 will be announced on June 27, 2026. Candidates must pay seat confirmation fee of INR 20,000 or INR 12,000 between June 27 and June 29, 2026. Payment of seat confirmation fee is mandatory to confirm the allotted seat.

Candidates must indicate their willingness (Freeze/Float) between June 27 and June 29, 2026. Freeze option means the seat is locked and no further changes allowed. Float option allows participation in subsequent rounds for better seat options.

After successful registration and fee payment, monitor the official portal for document verification updates. Respond to any queries raised by the admission committee within the specified timeline. Check the portal regularly for choice filling dates and instructions.

Complete choice filling and locking before the deadline to participate in seat allotment. Pay seat confirmation fee immediately after receiving seat allotment. Report physically at the allotted institution within the specified dates to confirm admission.
