UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Registration Begins at upneet.gov.in; Check Last Date to Apply

The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) Uttar Pradesh has opened the Round 2 registration. Candidates can register for the UP NEET UG 2026 counselling at upneet.gov.in. The registration window opened on September 14 at 5 PM.

The window will close on September 17 at 11 AM. The fee and security deposit payment closes at 2 PM the same day. Round 2 will fill state quota MBBS and BDS seats.

These seats lie in government and private medical colleges. Dental colleges and medical universities across Uttar Pradesh also fall under this round.

The security deposit varies by the type of college chosen. Government colleges need a smaller amount than private ones. The table below shows the deposit slabs.

How to Register for UP NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling?

Fresh candidates and eligible repeat candidates must register online. Follow the steps below on the official DGME portal.

1. Visit the official portal at upneet.gov.in.
2. Click the Round 2 registration link on the home page.
3. Enter your NEET UG 2026 roll number and details.
4. Fill in the online application form with academic information.
5. Pay the registration fee and the required security deposit.
6. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
7. Keep a printout for future reference during allotment.

Who Can Skip the Security Deposit?

Not every candidate needs to pay the security deposit again. Round 1 depositors get an exemption in Round 2. This applies to those who did not get a seat.

It also covers candidates who used the Free Exit option earlier. All other candidates must deposit the full amount before the deadline.

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

Choice filling opens on September 17 at 5 PM. It will close on September 19 at 5 PM sharp. There is no cap on the number of choices a candidate may add.

Candidates must lock their choices before the deadline closes. Unlocked forms will not be considered for seat allotment.

3. Check your name on the merit list on September 17.
4. Fill and lock college choices by September 19 at 5 PM.
