UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Deadline Extended to August 14; Check Steps to Register

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh has extended the UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 counselling registration deadline at upneet.gov.in. Candidates can now register till August 14, 2026. The earlier last date was August 12, 2026.

The extension applies to Round 1 registration and document upload. It also covers the online payment of the registration fee. Aspirants can apply for the 85 percent state quota MBBS and BDS seats.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Candidates must qualify NEET UG 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). They must also meet the Uttar Pradesh state domicile rules. Both government and private medical or dental college seats are covered under the counselling process.

How to Register for UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1?

Aspirants can complete the registration process by August 14, 2026, using the following steps:

1. Visit the official portal at upneet.gov.in.
2. Click on the NEET UG 2026 counselling registration link.
3. Fill in the personal and academic details to create the account.
4. Log in and upload the photograph, signature and thumb impression.
5. Pay the Rs 2,000 registration fee and the applicable security deposit online.
6. Verify all entries and submit the completed form.
7. Download the confirmation page for future reference.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Fee Structure

The registration fee of Rs 2,000 is non-refundable. The security deposit is refundable and varies according to the seat category.

The security deposit starts at Rs 30,000 for government seats and goes up to Rs 2,00,000 for private medical seats.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Rounds

DGME Uttar Pradesh will conduct the counselling in four to five rounds this year. Each round involves registration, choice filling and seat allotment.

Round 1 covers MBBS and BDS admissions across medical and dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
