UCEED 2026 Round 1 BDes cutoffs have been released showing institute-wise opening and closing category ranks. IIT Bombay has the most competitive cutoff with opening rank 1 for General category.

The opening and closing ranks for UCEED 2026 Round 1 BDes seat allotment have been released on April 21, 2026, offering clarity on admission trends across participating institutes. The cutoff data, published by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur., highlights the minimum ranks required for admission under different categories. Candidates can access the detailed cutoff list on the official website- uceed.iitb.ac.in.
Among all institutes, IIT Bombay continues to be the most competitive, with an opening rank of 1 in the General category, while its closing rank stands at 14. IIT Delhi recorded opening and closing ranks of 15–41, followed by IIT Guwahati (19–96) and IIT Hyderabad (23–61). Institutes like IIT Indore (67–119), IIT Roorkee (42–85), and IIITDM Jabalpur (97–245) showed relatively broader closing ranges, reflecting differences in seat intake and candidate preferences.

A total of 245 seats are available across all seven institutes for the 2026–27 academic session. The highest intake is at IIITDM Jabalpur with 66 seats, followed by IIT Guwahati (56 seats) and IIT Bombay (37 seats). The remaining seats are distributed among IIT Hyderabad (30), IIT Delhi (20), IIT Roorkee (20), and IIT Indore (16). Reservation policies include category-wise allocation along with 5% horizontal reservation for PwD candidates.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 must complete the seat acceptance process by April 29, 2026 (6:00 PM). The acceptance fee is INR 60,000 for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and INR 15,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Applicants can choose the “Freeze” option to confirm their allotted seat or opt for “Float” to stay eligible for better preferences in upcoming rounds. Those who did not receive a seat will automatically be considered for Round 2, scheduled on May 19, 2026.
