New Delhi: Three faculties from the Department of Medicine and Department of Endocrinology of the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) shined at the 13th World Congress of Diabetes (Diabetes India 2023).
The 13th World Congress of Diabetes was conducted in Indore from April 14-16, 2023 and was attended by more than 3,000 delegates from across the globe. The central theme for this year’s conference was “Educate –Innovate and Improve”.
Prof. Lalatendu Mohanty, Professor and HoD, Department of Medicine, Prof. K.P.Tripathy, Professor Department of Medicine and Prof.(Dr) Sambit Das, Professor, Department of Endocrinology participated in the event from KIMS Bhubaneshwar.
Prof. Lalatendu Mohanty chaired a session on “Practical Diabetology”. Topics like glycemic variability, lipid management and precision medicine were discussed.
Prof. K.P. Tripathy held a session on “FAQ in Diabetes”, where various clinical scenarios and frequently asked questions in diabetes were discussed.
Prof.(Dr) Sambit Das delivered a talk on “Insulin therapy, Clinical attributes beyond efficacy” and discussed various available insulin types and co-formulation and the method of initiation, optimization and intensification of insulin therapy.
