New Delhi: Thapar University has begun the application process for the first-year B.Tech second semester program for the academic session 2024-25. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form for admission through the official portal, @thapar.edu.

Thapar University second semester BTech Admission will be done based on available vacancies in the first semester of the first year. Those admitted in this category must successfully complete all first-semester courses following the curriculum of their respective discipline at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET).
Further, Students are also required to plan and complete these courses in subsequent summer or regular semesters, subject to the approval of the Director of Academic Affairs (DoAA).

Thapar University B.Tech Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have successfully completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in the aggregate of three subjects: Physics, Mathematics, and any one subject from Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a Technical Vocational subject.
- The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination in the years 2021, 2022, or 2023.
- Applicants should currently be enrolled in a BE/BTech program at a recognized Institute or University.
- Successful qualification in the TIET Entrance Test is a requirement.
- Citizenship of India is mandatory.
- Candidates are expected to maintain good character and fulfill the prescribed requirements of the Institute.
Candidate's selection to the above-mentioned B.Tech programs will be based on a 3-hour duration test, which will consist of multiple-choice questions, each with one correct answer. The test will include a total of 90 questions, with 30 questions from each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections.
