TANCET 2026 MBA Choice Filling Begins at tn-mbamca.com; Check Last Date to Lock Choices

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has opened the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2026 MBA choice filling window. The stage is now live at tn-mbamca.com. Candidates must lock preferences by August 4, 2026.

DoTE will release the tentative seat allotment on August 6, 2026. Selected candidates must confirm their allotted seats by August 7. The confirmation deadline is 5:00 PM on the same day.

TANCET is a state-level entrance test conducted by Anna University. It leads to MBA admissions in Tamil Nadu government and private colleges. This year offers 15,082 MBA seats across participating institutions.

How to Fill Choices for TANCET 2026 MBA Counselling?

Candidates must log in to the portal using their registration credentials. They can then view the list of participating institutions and courses. Preferences must be arranged in order of priority before saving.

The portal allows candidates to add, remove, or reorder choices. All changes must be saved before the August 4 deadline. Choices lock automatically at the closing time on the last day.

What Happens After the Tentative Allotment?

The tentative allotment on August 6 is not the final seat. Candidates who receive an allotted seat must accept it online. The confirmation window closes on August 7, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

Confirmed candidates will receive provisional allotment on August 9, 2026. Candidates unhappy with the allotment can wait for the supplementary rounds.

TANCET 2026 MBA Supplementary Counselling

DoTE will hold offline supplementary counselling in two tiers. Candidates scoring between 50 and 100 will attend on August 11. Those scoring below 50 will attend on August 12, 2026.

The SCA to SC category conversion round is on August 14, 2026. Unfilled SCA seats will be transferred to SC candidates on merit.
