Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2026 Provisional Rank List Out for MBBS BDS Admissions

The Tamil Nadu Medical Educational Selection Committee (TNMESC) has released the provisional rank lists. These cover admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in the state.

Three separate provisional lists have been issued this year. These cover the Government Quota and Management Quota categories. A third list applies to the 7.5 percent Government School reservation.

The provisional status means changes are still possible. TNMESC will finalise the lists after the grievance window closes. Candidates can access the PDFs directly at tnmedicalselection.net.

Only Tamil Nadu domicile candidates qualify for Government Quota seats. Non-domicile applicants can appear only in the Management Quota list. The 7.5 percent list is a horizontal reservation. It sits within the state's Government Quota pool.

How to Raise a Grievance for Ineligible Status?

TNMESC has opened a dedicated grievance window on the portal. Candidates marked ineligible under any quota can raise objections online.

The grievance link is active for both Government and Management Quota. Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates must also upload their PWD certificates. This has to be done within the announced window.

A Reservation Unique to Tamil Nadu

The 7.5 percent horizontal reservation is exclusive to Tamil Nadu. It benefits students from state government schools. Eligibility covers those who studied Classes 6 to 12 there. The state introduced this through legislation in 2020.
