SKUAST Srinagar has started PG admissions for Autumn 2026. Eligible candidates can apply till May 26, while the entrance test is scheduled for June 6 and 7.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) has opened admissions for postgraduate programmes for the Autumn Semester 2026. The application window is open from May 13 to May 26, 2026 at 6:00 PM. This is your opportunity to pursue a Master's or PhD degree in agriculture, horticulture, veterinary sciences, forestry, fisheries, and agricultural engineering from one of India's premier agricultural universities. The University Entrance Test (UET) will be conducted on June 6-7, 2026. The entire admission process is conducted online through the official portal.

How to Apply and Eligibility?
Candidates need to visit admissions.skuastkashmir.ac.in and click on the PG admission link to begin the application process. Applicants must fill in their personal and academic details, upload required documents such as mark sheets and certificates, select their preferred programme and specialization, and pay the application fee online. The fee is INR 2,500 for General candidates and INR 1,500 for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates. Applications must be submitted by May 26, 2026 (6:00 PM), after which candidates should download and keep the confirmation receipt and login credentials for future reference.

For admission to Master’s programmes, J&K domicile candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum OGPA of 3.25/6.00 or 60% marks, while candidates from NRI/other states need OGPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks. For PhD admissions, J&K domicile candidates must hold a Master’s degree with OGPA 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks, whereas NRI/other state candidates require OGPA 7.00/10.00 or 70% marks.
SKUAST-K is offering postgraduate programmes across multiple faculties, including agriculture, horticulture, veterinary sciences, forestry, fisheries, and agricultural engineering. Available courses include M.Sc Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, Forestry, Fisheries, MBA Agri Business Management, M.Tech Food Technology, and 18 MVSc specializations, among others.
For J&K domicile candidates, admission to Master’s programmes will be through the University Entrance Test (UET 2026), while PhD admissions will be based on the Research Aptitude Assessment (RAA). Candidates from NRI/other states/UTs will be selected on the basis of academic merit, while PhD applicants in this category must also appear for the RAA.
Applicants should note that no extension will be provided beyond May 26, and the application fee is non-refundable. Final-year Master’s students can apply for PhD programmes if they complete their degree before the RAA, while government in-service candidates must submit an employer nomination letter.
