SEED 2026 M.Des Exam Schedule Out @sid.edu.in; Applications Begin January 5

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Pune, has officially announced the commencement of applications for the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) 2026 for admission to its Master of Design (M.Des) programmes. As per the latest notification, the online registration process will begin on January 5, 2026, through the official admission portal at sid.edu.in.

SEED is the mandatory entrance examination for candidates seeking admission to PG design programmes offered by SID. The application and fee payment window will remain open until April 25, 2026, providing aspirants sufficient time to complete the registration process. The SEED 2026 admit card will be released on April 29, 2026, and registered candidates will be able to download it by logging into their accounts.

The SEED 2026 entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 3, 2026 (Sunday). The results of the entrance test will be declared on May 7, 2026, along with the announcement of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process. Shortlisted applicants will be required to appear for the Studio Test and Personal Interaction (STPI), which will be conducted on May 9 and 10, 2026.

Following the completion of the STPI round, SID will release the first merit list on May 15, 2026. Candidates selected in the merit list will be required to complete the admission formalities within the stipulated timeline. The academic session for the M.Des programmes will commence on July 1, 2026.

According to the intake matrix, SID has approved a total intake of 24 seats for the M.Des User Experience Design programme for the 2026 academic year. Out of these, 20 seats are reserved for Indian students, while 4 seats are allocated to international applicants, ensuring a diverse and globally inclusive learning environment.
