SASTRA University has signed an MoU with the State University of New York for several new courses in different specializations.
New Delhi: SASTRA University has signed an MoU with the State University of New York for several courses with Electronics Manufacturing, Biomedical Devices & Digital Technologies as main specializations.
The MoU between SASTRA UNIVERSITY the State University of New York have introsuced several new undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD degrees to facilitate the mobility of students and faculty besides introducing new collaborative degree courses.
The two universities collaborated to sign the MoU on June 20, 2023. However, the MoU between SASTRA and the State University of New York will be functional from the 2023-2024 academic year.
The VC of SASTRA University Faculty outlined the key focus areas, aligning it with India’s semiconductor and other mission mode projects. During the signing of the MoU, several faculty members from both the universities were present.
Members such as Harvey Stenger, President of the State University of New York and S Vaidhyasubramaniam, Vice Chancellor of SASTRA University along with Krishnaswami Srihari, Dean of Engineering, the State University of New York, and Madhusudhan Gonvindaraju Vice-Provost, the State University of New York were also present while signing the MoU.
The MoU includes various 4 year UG courses (2+2) from the State University of New York, Integrated UG and PG courses (3.5+1.5) from both the universities, and split PhD courses.
