PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates IIM Jammu Campus on February 20

New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi unveiled the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Campus in Jammu, which spans 200 acres in Jagti on February 20, 2024. The inauguration event was attended by Dr. Jitendra Singh Ji, Shri Manoj Sinha, and other dignitaries.

The establishment of the IIM Jammu campus shows the institute's commitment to providing high-quality management education to its students. The new campus marks a significant milestone in the IIM's goal for academic excellence. The ceremony also featured a cultural performance by the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Arts & Culture.

IIM Chairman of the Board of Governors, Milind K Kamble emphasised collaborative efforts to bring IIM Jammu into the list of top 10 business schools in the country. IIM Jammu is set to make substantial contributions to India's educational environment and social progress.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr Jitendra Singh Ji said, "The inauguration of IIM Jammu's permanent campus marks a monumental leap forward in our collective pursuit of fostering excellence in management education”.

Adding to the statement, a Former Member of the Board of Governors, Shri Deepak Mukadam, said, "What once was a humble hilltop has now evolved into a world-class institute, rapidly gaining recognition on the international stage."

Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu shared, "IIM Jammu is committed to the progress of U.T of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, facilitating societal transformation, economic development, and thereby contributing to the nation's progress."
